Ohio State tight end Ryan Hamby has received a couple of hate letters since dropping a sure touchdown pass during the Buckeyes' loss to Texas last week.

Cutting over the middle into the end zone, Hamby was open when Justin Zwick's pass bounced off his chest and into the air. He had a second chance to grab it but was slammed by a defender just as the ball touched his hands.

A touchdown would have given Ohio State a 10-point lead in the third quarter. The Buckeyes ended up settling for a field goal and eventually lost 25-22 to Texas.

Pfft, any hate mail relating to the dropped ball is purely speculative. I'm sure he just got the hate mail for playing for Ohio State!

Oh, I kill myself. Really.

But seriously, UT should've had a caught TD pass on their first drive that resulted in a FG so it's an eye for an eye.

Can't blame them, though this stuff happens all the time so I'm not sure why this incident is getting more publicity.

Sorry, this is ridiculous. Hate mail? Over a football game? A little perspective, please...

In Columbia, the goalie for their countries soccer team was killed after allowing
an easy goal and losing the game. Some people forget it is just a sport.

Thats what happens when people try to forget about their problems and use sports as a way out.:shakeno:

Happens all the time. Of course its stupid, but at least its better than soccer goalies getting shot in the head for letting 1 goal through.
