Ok all of you Buckeyes!! Let me prefice this by saying I am a Canes fan, and I hate the luckeyes, but I just watched Troy Smith on Quite Frankly, and this is one very solid young man. You guys have got to be very proud of this guy, he is well spoken, humble, and seems to be very level headed. If this guy was 6" taller, he would without a doubt be the number one pick in the draft!!! I look forward to seeing this guy play Monday, with a great game, he could slide into the number 2 or 3 QB slot behind Russell and Brohm. And no I did not forget Quinn, I just think Quinn is overrated!!!!!
 
yea i wish he was taller also.... and i totally agree with brohm and russel being better qbs then quinn
 
This is getting moved to the draft forum soon. THere are 5 QBs who will go round 1 assuming Brohm and Brennen declare, and all 5 would look good in a Phins uni tearing up the league in 2 years.
 
I also think Quinn is overrated but more then likely the Lions will draft him.
 
You can think Quinn is overrated all you'd like. What you think of him isnt going to affect his draft stock. He isnt going to be the 4th QB taken sorry to break it to you.

Didnt I say he would be behind Russell, Brohm, and Smith. Lets see 1+1+1+1=4th QB taken. Hey we are on the same page!!!!!

Ok...and I said he wouldnt be the 4th QB taken. Which means there is no way that Brohm/Russel and Smith all go before he does. We're not on the same page.

Yeah your right, sorry. Colt Brennen will be selected ahead of him , making him the 5th QB taken.

Ck has cited a couple of times that people have some character issues with Troy Smith. I don't know what they are. But he seems to handle himself well when I have seen him, both on and off the field. I have liked what I have seen from the few games I have seen. If he were to fall to the second round for some reason and we hadn't taken a Qb in the first, I would strongly consider Smith there.

Based on his bowl performance vs that of Russells and Brohms he stands a good shot of going at least third. Russell completely outplayed him on national TV in their most important games to date.

I never did get the creaming over Quinn, guy falls short in pretty much every big game hes been in. Sure hes in a "prostyle" offense, but who the heck cares when he cant deliver?

I mean I didnt expect ND to beat the Tigers, but 14 points and shutout in the second half? Yeah, thats who I want to draft with the #1 overall pick!

I'm not going to debate the Quinn doesnt win big games argument again. I find it a little ironic coming from Dolphin fans who have made a living saying Marino never had enough help though.
 
quinn cant do anything if his receivers dont catch the damn ball

Quinns the "safe" pick. The kid is 6-5 has a gun for an arm is already running an NFL system, alot of teams would love to have this kid. Smith falls in line with Marcus Vick and Randle El. He's a good athlete, but he doesnt have what it takes to be an NFL QB.

I think Smith is more of a QB than Vick ever was...
