I guess I have to say it," Saban said. "I'm not going to be the Alabama coach."

"That's absolutely not true," Saban said. "I make those decisions. Scott Linehan doesn't make them and he didn't make them here. And maybe somebody told Gus Frerotte that to get him to leave here, but that is absolutely not true."

Now that he stopped ****ing around with word games and actually said it, I expect this finally to go away.

Saban had no choice but to say that.

The reporter backed him in the corner and wouldn't let him out. Finally, Saban just said what the reporter wanted to hear in order to get the reporter off of his back.

Do you really expect Saban to say, "Yeah, I'm headed to Bama soon. I'll let you know the details of the contract soon, but, first, I need to spend a few minutes today getting ready for the Jets game."

Saban is a Masterful Question Dodger!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, many in the sports media circles are a bunch of morons.

I hold them in the same regard as "The View" where a bunch of gossip hound chicks talk about anything but important things. Same with the avg. sports media writers and talking heads, just like a bunch of chicks talking about who's sneaking around on who.

Problem is that the avg. Joe Public eats this garbage up so it will never go away.
Look no further than the success of Dan Lebatranny as proof.
