Just make sure Wikipedia is acceptable in terms of citing your sources. I know due to the nature of Wikipedia, some professors will not accept is as a legitimate source for research papers. However, you will be able to find good general info and links to other sites. Its a good start.

Websites? hmmm.....The dolphins main page might help, and the main page of Finheaven has some links (bottom left column)

Historic info? hmmm....Dan Marino was very good

Wikipedia or the official site are good places to start.

The first ever practice of the Miami Dolphins was on St. Pete Beach in the summer of '66. The Phins were an expansion club and the first major league franchise of ANY major sport in the state of Florida. They worked out at Boca Ciega HS on a field that was more crushed shell than grass. They were staying in a hotel called, appropriately, "The Happy Dolphin" which was right next to the St. Pete Beach Aquaterrium, neither of which currently exist. On that site now is a Pinellas County parking lot with beach access. There ought to be a plaque or something! Hope this helps.
