OK, I Say We.........

Or Philips Dorsett in the 3rd rd.

I think we have a substantial problem. I would love to draft a WR but that isn't going to help keep the defense from giving up 30+ a game. I would love to draft a interior defense-man but that isn't going to help Tannehill from getting the sh*t kicked out of him. I would love to draft a quality offensive lineman but that isn't going to help our linebacker group that can neither tackle, pass protect, pass rush, or led the team. I would love to draft a linebacker but that won't help the back-end of the defense that struggles against even the most average WR corp.

I do think once you strip away all the surface stuff our WR corp with Landry, Clay, Sims, Hartline, maybe a free agent, etc...is in less need for attention then the other areas.

I'm leaning on using the first on a offensive lineman. Tannehill is young and so are James/Landry/Sims/Miller...we could solidify our offensive side of the ball for years if we firm up the line.

I think we stand a chance of getting a one trick pony tall WR/TE that we can use in the 20's late in the draft or free agency.

I was thinking get him, trade up for Cooper, trade/cut Wallace, Hartline and Gibson. We use the money we save on them on OL and LB in FA. Oh, and I want Alabama's punter. That should save quite a bit a Fields.

No......lineman will be there in free agency...we also have Billy Turner ready to move up....we only need one starter from free agency.....we also have several other picks to find a guard.

We need impact from round one....big wideout.....Melvin Gordan...or a dominant D-tackle.

We can't solve all our issues in round one alone....but we can get impact.

BlueFin is right. We can address our OL in free agency and in the mid rounds and find upgrade players over Daryn Colledge and Samson Satele and Dallas Thomas.

We aren't going to find potentially elite impact players there.

Well said, thank you. At least a 2nd must be spent on the o-line.

Did we learn nothing about our lack of quality depth this year on the offensive line and elesewhere? You are filling holes for starters and ignoring the depth as well as our future beyond next year. We need at least one quality lineman drafted this year plus whatever quality we can find in free agency because none of us know how well Turner will work out, do we?

I'd much rather have one too many quality o-linemen than one too few. Drafting just enough to fill starter holes is what got us in this hot mess in the first place. This past year has proven we need better depth everywhere, but we should start fixing that with the offensive line or the play makers we do have will become ineffective, useless and/or frustrated like Wallace.

I'm also very worried about our QB's health. He is tough, but he's taking far too many hits. We have many years invested in this kid. WE MUST PROTECT HIM!!

Yes we must....but we don't have to use the 14th pick on a guard to do it.

Very good lineman get drafted in rounds 2 & 3 as well.

We need to score in the red zone to win games.....if you can get a playmaker at 14....you grab him and use the other picks and free agency to fix the line.

We have so many needs we can literally take the best player available regardless of position at 14. Doesn't matter what position they play, if there's someone elite there hickey has to pull the trigger.
