This quote from a article on his thoughts of leadership has finally won me over. I like the moves, not the spielman one, but the personnel. Now I get to see him more as a person and this impressed me.

QUOTABLE

``Just because you play quarterback doesn't mean you're gonna be a leader. I think leadership is your ability to affect people in a positive way, and that can come from anywhere on the field. We're not looking for sheep. We're looking for wolves. If we need a sheepdog to get them lined up and get where they need to get, then we have the wrong guys. I'm not trying to minimize leadership. I'm trying to maximize the individual responsibility of everyone else to not have to depend on anyone else to do it. If I do that I put my whole future in how the other guy is doing. So if he is having a bad day, I'm having a bad day. Then we all go out and get our [butts] kicked.''

-- Coach Nick Saban, when asked whether quarterbacks have to be leaders.

that's the thoughts of a well organized, thoughtful, and good coach.

He's a very "quotable" coach, if that means anything.

That's Saban for ya. Get used to it. He'll say a lot of signature worthy quotes.:)

I think it's pretty clear that the strongest leadership is going to come from Saban himself

Yes, Saban provides leadership. He knows how to get a team ready to play.

Nice, I'm a fairly new Dolphins fan. My step-father is a Dolphins fan, and since they got Saban I'd thought I'd be a full time fan.

Cool, welcome aboard. Do you go to LSU too, or are you just an LSU fan?

Where do you live?

I don't go to LSU yet, I'm in High School in Alabama. But I plan on going to LSU after I graduate, just like my brother. You may know him... his name Jonathan Hathorn, does that ring a bell?

Ive always thought saban was the best choice for coach. he has got to be one of the most thoughtful coaches in the league when it comes to addressing the media. His post practise interview on The Dolphin Insider(Man I love that) was aweome. So direct it smacks ya in the forehead.
I sure hope we havent started piling unrealistic expectations that call for his head if the phins dont reach .500!
