wat would u do w/ the following players


WR David Boston; - vet min contract w/ incentives, still has talent i think
WR Bryan Gilmore;- he is a great special teamer and a ok WR keep him
LB Jason Glenn; - he is another just a solid player, but he isnt important
OT Stockar McDougle; - goodbye
C Seth McKinney;- goodbye
RB Travis Minor; - i think we need a a mroe capable player as ao ur backup since well ricky is gone
RB Sammy Morris; - Good special teamer, good transition FB/RB player, a likeable guy, great attitude perfect player for our locker room and team.
QB Sage Rosenfels- this is tough, im not sure what we do with him
FS Lance Schulters; he is our best secondary player right now so we kidna need to sign him back
CB Kiwaukee Thomas.- eh is ok but we can do w/o

RESTRICTED FREE AGENTS:
S Yeremiah Bell- gotta sign him back, Made soem big plays and a great team player
WR Kendall Newson.- umm did he even have a catch
 
I would Keep:

Morris
Minor
Gilmore (All 3 great special teams guys)
Schulters (Had an outstanding year)
Bell (For Sure, I really like this guy)

and.......Boston after FA and the draft for the vet min, he hasn't even touched the field.
 
McDougle might be retained, as McIntosh appears on the way out. McDougle would be needed for depth as the legal issues and cap hit for McIntosh will garnish a pink slip.

i wouldnt say he had an outstanding year i mean he got beat alotttt

WR David Boston; - time is up. Roids have caught up to his body.
WR Bryan Gilmore;- Good STer as you said, but can't get off defenders in the passing game. Great speed, injury prone...woudl be the odd man out if Saban signs a WR in FA.
LB Jason Glenn; - Great STer...will stay for camp and if a LB is drafted would probably be the odd man out...
OT Stockar McDougle; - Gone...wants more than we'll pay for him.
C Seth McKinney;-Gone. Had his time to shine...didn't...
RB Travis Minor; - Probably gone. Never became the change of pace back that he was touted as. Saban will look to FA or draft to supplement. KJ Harris is on the horizon as well.
RB Sammy Morris; - Probably a need to re-sign. He is a good STer and did get 523 yds on 132 attempts (4.0 ypc) behind a porous OL when pressed into service. Not a good FB, more of a tailback but can play both spots. Particularly with RW gone he stays, even tho KJ Harris could take his role.
QB Sage Rosenfels- Has had his chance to show what he can do and hasn't performed. Might need another change of venue. Something's amiss with him, but I can't put my finger on it...He has the tools, is said to be pretty smart, but just doesn't translate to production on the field. I would be leary of someone who couldn't beat out Ears or AJ or Gus this past season.
CB Kiwaukee Thomas.- Just hasn't been productive when healthy...With our stable of inexperienced CBs (Poole, Mitchell, Daniels), I don't see him coming back.

RESTRICTED FREE AGENTS:
S Yeremiah Bell - Will be back. Has finally shed the injury bug-a-boo and played decently last season, particularly when pressed into service after TeBuckey went down.
WR Kendall Newson- too many injuries. Lots of speed...a lot like Gilmore, but more injuries...probably retained until camp but expect a rookie draftee or rookie FA to take his place on the final roster...

WR Bryan Gilmore;- He's a decent STer, keep if cheap
LB Jason Glenn; - see above
OT Stockar McDougle; - vet's min only
C Seth McKinney;- resign if it's a small deal 2-3 yrs w/ incentives
RB Travis Minor; - if ricky leaves, might as well keep him
RB Sammy Morris; - we should definitely resign if the price is right. good leader and capable RB/ST
QB Sage Rosenfels- try to dump him in a sign and trade if possible. Or else, vet's min
FS Lance Schulters; Lance played well and our safety depth is appalling. definitely resign
CB Kiwaukee Thomas.- better than howard.

RESTRICTED FREE AGENTS:
S Yeremiah Bell - Should resign. Has promise since he's been healthy.
WR Kendall Newson- We have Gilmore, that's enough if we draft one in the later rounds.

Good Point.....but I thought as a FA pickup last season, he was very valuable to the secondary. Really I'm hoping we may address the safties really quickly in the draft.
