ok i no there has been jokes about the #1 pick but if we end up with it who would you pick? no trades! honestly who would take #1 JUST 1 NAME!!!!

MY PICK, BRADY QUINN, you never ever pass up a franchise qb cpepp is 30

can we quit with these repetitive threads please..my god

IF Culpepper doesn't recover this season, then seriously take a look at Quinn. If not, then Calvin Johnson FTW!

You can't go receiver #1

A receiver doesn't get enough touches to warrant a #1 overall pick and #1 overall cash.

QB or take the best trade out there. The problem is that teams are expecting a monster deal or nothing.

Would Houston had been better off moving back a few spots and picking up a 2nd? It might not have "added up but 2 starters for 1 is a good deal.

Trading down is a great idea, it takes a team to want to move up though and is willing to give us value for the pick. It's easier said then done.

Having the first pick would really suck because if you cant trade down your stuck with a tremendous salary for a player you dont necessarily want or could get a little later on in the draft. I know CJ is good but it be hard for be to take a reciever with the first pick, joe thomas might be a little easier to swallow.

finally someone who has a clue thank you

Well unless we think Culpepper can still come back and play at a high level, why wouldn't we draft Quinn? We would be stupid to not draft him at #1. I know no one likes to hear it when we have a past pro bowl QB and we gave up a 2nd round pick for, but at some point you have to eat your losses. If we stay with Culpepper for the future, then I say either Joe Thomas or Calvin Johnson. I'm hoping we have can get in the 5-8 range so we're not stuck with a huge salary on a player that may not pan out.

imagine the #1 and chambers to oakland for #3 or #4 and moss and we draft ginn or cj? what a receiving tandem THAT would be!

Wow, that'd be a horrible horrible trade.
