Starting Monday (Sept. 29) and continuing periodically throughout the season, "MNF" will showcase various players' musical chops in a halftime segment called "Monday Night at the Mic." Each player will be paired with a professional musician and either sing, play an instrument or DJ on a song by one of their musical partners.

The winner each week will move on to semifinal matchups later in the season. The final winner will be crowned during the Dec. 15 game between Philadelphia and Miami.

Cool idea. I wonder if Morlon Greenwood will be "blowing the skylines out of proportion".

And maybe he'll christen the viewing audience with tales of "pimps and hoes".

Wouldn't that be something classic

Only time I watch the halftime show is when the dog is out there and something special (like Philly).

XOPhinsoX , Everytime you post I can't help but just stare at your sig for like five minutes. That may be the best picture I've ever seen. Thank you for the privelege of looking at it. Now I just need to meet them and spit some game. LOL

I'll go oldschool and vote that there should be half-time highlights of Sunday's games like Cossell (sp?) used to do them.

Wow, Monday Night Football must really be struggling. I heard that the next step is to simply just vote teams out of the league. I think it is a tossup right now between Arizona, Cincinatti and Detroit.

The best Highlight show I ever saw was at a Miami-Oakland game a few years ago in Oakland. They held a contest where about 20 fans in the stands got to come down and learn a cheerleader dance with the Raiderrettes. Well one guy was completely wasted and started taking off his close and making fun of the girls. Security quickly moved in on him but dude had moves like Barry Sanders. He got around them and high stepped it into the endzone. The Black Hole went f'n nuts.

After that he streaked up the sideline to the other goalline where he was eventually leveled by a security guard. You should have heard the lpace explode into boos as he was taken off. Freaking hysterical. Miami won the game by the way. :)

Me too. I would much rather watch something about football, 'cause I seriously doubt there's going to be any "music" (Ha!) that I'm going to be able to bear. I never watch halftime during the super bowl, 'cause I'm into the game, and not the fantastic, hyperbolic side shows they come up with, that usually just leave a lot of smoke lingering around. Sometimes, I even like silence.

Isn't it bad enough that we have to put up with John Madden's ad hominem analysis?

Morlon and Trick...I can see it now...Trick will be sportin a Customized Morlon jersey that everyone will want to sport.
