Ok, What have we learned?

I really can't comment about the players we got because I'm not that familiar with them but I can't help but believing we got one starter on the o-line and several starters on defense. I really don't think any better of our QB situation but I doubt anyone does. I've seen Wilford enough to feel he can start at WR for us.

I don't think Parcells picked up many of these guys to sit on the bench though because we already have guys who fit the pine as it is.

What does the do to the draft? I can't see them drafting C. Long with all the defense we picked up. Maybe J. Long? I think if they pick up another O-line man though he can be scratched off the list as well if not already.

Maybe some of the rumors are accurate and BP is eying a QB? How does our secondary look now, likely to draft someone there? Or my pick, Run DMC?

Has anyones thought changed? What do you think after day one?

I think we're gonna draft Chris Long because we need somebody that can bust Brady in the mouth. Whether JT is still here or not (hopefully he is), we still need more fire power on the D-line. The Giants proved that is how to beat them.
Beck is going to be the QB. He will be good. He has the tools, and they're working to give him protection and weapons. On top of that, they've got some of the greatest coaches in the league working with him...as well as one of the most respected QB coaches ever.

I agree that Chris Long, unfotunately, is no longer in our plans. Jake Long would appear to be the pick and it is probably the safest pick the Phins could make. I just don't see us drafting DMAC. Yeah, he has all the bells and whistle to be special but...... so do alot of RB's coming out of college. RB and Ricky will be our backs this year. Even though all signs point to Matt Ryan being a franchise QB, I don't see this as our pick. Just to risky. Jake Long is safe, dependable, and could anchor our steadily improving offensive line. Thats where it all starts on offense.

I agree 100%. As far is beck being 100% clear cut not sure exactly cuz gotta expect the unexpected like we did the past 24 hours.

Hopefully Beck won't have a lot weight on his shoulders next year. Bill is in no doubt creating a run first Offense complemented by a Smash Mouth Defense. Lets get it down and play some real football next year. Chris or Jake Long are looking more and more into being the prime candidates for the #1 pick as this FA period comes into view. Prepare for some Ronnie Action next year :up:.

To me, today means that we still need 2 more starting OL, a CB , a starting TE, another S and IF we do sign Pace, what does that mean for JT ?? After the JT thing is figured out, what does that mean for the draft ?? My guess right now is that we'd be almost forced to take Jake Long at #1 if we can't trade out of it...

Bottom line, is that it's still too soon to draw concrete conclusions...we just have to wait a little longer...we still have quite a few holes to fill....

I think Parcells and Ireland are going to keep people guessing as to who they're leaning towards as the #1 pick until the draft... or they trade the pick away.

IMO, I see JT in Dallas as part of a JJ/BP draft deal. The Cowboys window of opportunity is now, and even though they have a good DL, you can't put a price on what JT could bring to a team that's close. He would have made the difference in their loss to the Giants, that's for sure. Not to mention the familiarity he already has with Zach. You develop a sort of football ESP after playing alongside a guy for more than a decade, and JJ knows that.

On the other hand, it makes too much sense to happen, so it probably won't.

Its obviously Parcells is concerned with depth, which Cam and Mueller certainly were NOT. Remember Fa last year? We hardly brought in any quality players or role guys. We now have depth along the defensive line, a starting WR, a starting G, a backup QB, and some ST guys. Were laying down the foundation, the draft and next offseason we will e putting in place the final cornerstones.

I think Parcells saw how to beat Brady & the Pats with pressure up front like the Giants did in the superbowl & he is molding a team that will be able to do that...

He is being extremely aggresive, this isn't a 5 year rebuilding program. He wants to beat teams & be competitive right away.

The draft is going to be exciting no doubt about it...
