With all of this free agent talk, I just wanted to take a moment and check in and see if anyone is still as giddy about the Super Bowl as I am.

I was nosing around on Fox's NFL site and read through some of the posts. I have to laugh at Pats fans. After the shock wore off, they went through grief, anger, denial and disappontment...now they seem to be in the "rationalization" phase. They talk as if 18-1 is actually a great thing and "not really caring" about not winning the Super Bowl. If you want a good laugh, check them out:

I mean c'mon, are you kidding me? Your team gets embarrassed in front of the biggest audience ever and you don't care? Ha! The Patsies will go down as the most infamous losers ever! And I'm STILL loving this! But the Giants' win only struck a blow in the war with the Pats...there is still much to do! LOL

it was such a great game... that feeling is there, what a game!!!

but excited about the Superbowl all in all, not really at all. Miami didn't win it. we weren't there. it's passed now... congrats to Giants... I have moved on!!! remember Giants won it for New York!!! I don't care about a stupid record, undefeated, i want that LOMBARDI!!!! and to obtain, it starts now!!!

It still makes me smile thinking about it, but really my focus has shifted to what WE can do and are doing to get better...yea they are cheating classless premadonna's...but if they whip our but's twice next year, who are we to say anything?

I am forever in debt of the Giants. But that is in the past now.

I remember losing to the Giants back in the 80's. Marino had a horrible day. Now I know why. He wanted to repay the faith. So lets call it quits and move on :D

Oh I know, and I agree with you guys. Just after 7 years of them strutting aorund all smug like they're God's gift to football and ESPN and the rest of the media all over their junk, it's nice to finally see them get knocked down a peg. And besides, I'm originally from NJso I'm truly happy for the G-Men.

As far as our fins...I don't know, I'm worried. I'm realistic and know we won't go 18-1 ourselves, but all of this uncertainty...overhauling the staff, cutting 9 players...I'm tired of disappointment. I long for the days when we were a lock for the playoffs almost every year. But I remain loyal, and if Bill can at least do for us what he did for the Cowgirls, I'm behind him!

Sorry, the only superbowls I get excited for are ones the Dolphins are in, seeing as how thats never happened in my lifetime I couldn't really care any less. Its over hyped as it is. I was happy that the Giants won and the Patsies finally got thier lose but excitment isnt exactly how I would describe my feeling.

To me excitment is a feeling of an upcoming event.

Feeling is still there but im more excited about the off-season.

I have to wonder just how much more excited I could get if the Dolphins were to win the Super Bowl than I was when Eli threw that game winning TD to Plax.

My brother has been a Pats fan for 15 years. When he was 12 he decided to stick with a team and narrowed it down to the top QB picks that year, Rick Mirer and the Seahawks or Drew Bledsoe and the Patsy's. In a word for me, damn :(.

If Bill Bellicheat and Co. stole Miami's unique claim of undefeated I may have had to shoot myself. It's hard seeing all of the Patsy's success while Miami flails about. But now I will always have 18-1 whenever we get into epic debates. The biggest choke job ever, period.

18-1! :woot:
