I want New England to lose this weekend, even if we do drop in the draft. But with that said. If (*Coughs*when*coughs*) the Dolphins win, is there any way we could maintain our number 15 pick?

yeah if Minnesota and Atlant win we keep our 15 pick no matter what

I don't think a loss moves us up at all. At best it would keep us no later than 15.

What happens if we lose?

Nothing changes.....we go 8-8, no one has a 7 wins currently and can tie us with a win to help us go lower meaning 14th or lower for pick. And at worse Atl and Vik also lose and we stay at #15.

So really no change unless we win and Atl or Vikes or both lose and we fall to 16 or 17.

I dont think KC or SD even if they both lose and go 9-7 would effect us.

I believe I have it correctly....

Not true, because we are all 8-7 right now... and if we all win then everyone is 9-7... but you can't forget about the teams that are 9-6 right now (Chiefs, Chargers, Redskins, Cowboys)... if they lose then we could be lower.

Yeah I was just looking and it seems like if we lose the best we could possibly be would be 14, and I'm not sure what all the tiebreak stuff looks like. I think you're right rafael, the issue may be that if we win, we could end up down to 17, but if we lose we may be guaranteed to keep 15.

I think of all the possible 9-7 teams, we still would have the strength of schedule tie breaker and be the first 9-7 team to pick. I think that would still be 15th.

Not necessarily. The strength of schedule may go our way pretty significantly because the Bills and Jets suck, we don't play ourselves, and if we beat the Patriots then having played them twice with them being 10-6 isn't going to weigh as much as teams that had to play like the 12-3 Denver Broncos twice, the 11-4 Chicago Bears twice, etc. If you look at all the schedules of the other dudes...I think we'd come out on top with most of them...

Yeah, being the first 9-7 team to pick would be icing on the cake to the season. Would love that.

Just found this info.....

based on strength of schedule (opposing team wins) we can finish no worse than 17th, and are currently 15th. If all 7 of these teams go 9-7 we still end up 15th pick. The only way we slip to 16th or 17th is a win vs. NE, and either Minn or Atl lose we fall to 16th, if both lose we go to 17th but no worse since a 5 game spread in opposing team wins isnt likely to close in one week.

Also like this link to see our practice squad and reserves, etc....
