Is it just me, or does suddenly the whole "score doesn't matter" thing sound sillier than ever ?

Uhh... that's "joining" by the way.

People are jumping all over Nick the coach now, but I still believe he did a good job. He inherited a train wreck and at least was headed in the right direction. What he did to the organization and WH in particular is downright dirty, but it doesn't mean the man is not a good coach.

In retrospect his arrogant attitude was a downfall...I think in the end he created the environment he grew to hate.

Hmmm... does this mean that everything Gus Frerotte said was true?

A good coach dosen't leave on the plane and leave the owner to deal with the press. A good coach explains why he has left the organization. A good coach dosen't leave till his position has been filled. A good coach has the balls to say goodbye to every single member of his organization. In person!

Good point, and like I said, I'm not lumping myself in as a Nick Saban basher. Overall, my approach, is that his heart just wasn't in it, and it was probably better for himself, and the Dolphins that he chose to leave. I just thought of "the score doesn't matter" and got to thinking about it.

Good points also. He could have approached the last 24 hours a bit better.

I like the philosophy, equaling - always play hard no matter what. the score doesnt matter. He knew that if they played the best they could, the score would imitate that and reward them.

My thoughts exactly, it was weak and cowardly no matter what he has to say now. He can continue with all of his tough talk but i know that he is a woman.

Yep. The man (Saban) is a lying, unscrupulous weasel, but he's correct about this at least.

The idea that results dont matter, which is what Saban preached, is fundamentally flawed. The method and the effort lead to a result. If you ignore the result you end up caught in the process which has no substance. The end result is what matters. If the process doesnt yield the result you want then it's entirely empty. Much like all the bull**** that Saban talks. He also has no substance.
