who do you think,5 years down the road will be ontop of the AFC East?

my opinions are as follows....

New York-(4th place)

lol....IMO,the Jets shot themselves in the foot,as far as the "future" goes for them. They spent most off-season money next to the Raiders(more than $130M).That kind of money is hard to get back in 5 years, especially if your attendance isn't doing well. There QB situation is almost as bad as ours, and yet they continue to unaddress it...heres my thinking,if the Jets don't win AT LEAST 10 games this year of next, look for them to be in the gutter of the East for a long...long time...

New England-(3rd place)

I know what some of you are thinking...."what?!?!"...let me explain.Tom Brady is argueably the best QB in the league, next to Manning.....Peyton,anywho,without the proper talent he might not even be as good as he was when he won the superbowls with those average WR's,because the NE defense was so good, however their older now,and the WR's they have now is basically Moss,Welker and Watson...as I said, their defense is getting older, and they should have been replacing some guys a coupel years ago,but now their at the point where they have the oldest defense in the league...or one of the oldest....which is why I don't think they'll be that good anymore,5 years down the road.

Buffalo-(2 place)

ummm....their just like the Dolphins, only better equiped...however,I just don't see how they can just automatically assume that Edwards is the anwer, and look for him to carry the load...most of his wins were because of Lynch, although he wont get the credit.Bills need help along the linebacknig core, and I think theyll address that, but I just dont see as much potential as the Dolphins has shown, because they didnt build that well in the FA period other than trading for Marcus Stroud:(.Newly acquired Stroud,McKelvin and Hardy should the only ones I see making an impact within the next 5 years or in recent years, but I could be wrong.

Miami-(1st place)

not trying to be a homer, but the facts dont lie.Miami is or at least one of the most active teams the off-season,getting a younger, faster, stronger D-Line...in FA ALONE...then they carry that along to the draft, and build even more,to sore up the old guys we had and brought in.We made sure our TE spot and the MLB spot were assured when we traded for Fasano and Adoyle for only a 4th rounder...2 starters for a 4th is awesome to encounter for this franchise. We got a possible replacement for JT in Philip Merling, and I feel he can do a pretty damn good job filling in....not saying he can be the next JT,but I will say he will be a good player in the league, for many years to come in my opinion. And O-Line again and got ourselves another QB and a project RB in Parmele, who I believe with the proper coching and opportunity he can be the next Michael Turner.Miami already has the most potential of the division,I just hope we can follow through,we ahve the players and the new personel to make a push for top dogg of the AFC East, its just up the the coaching to bring that out of the player, but I do expect if MIA doesnt make the top the Bills.

My man the Jets made some great offseason moves reinforced by a decent draft. If anyone finishes last in the division I would say the Bills followed by the Pats. The homer in me is going to say we will win the division and I dont mind admitting it.

if you believe in Karma you would have to say
1. Miami
2. Buffalo
3. Ny Jets
4. Patriots

Sounds good to me- sign me up

1. Patriots (sadly)
2. NY Jets (added a lot of talent via FA and Draft)
3. Buffalo (good draft)
4. Miami (closing the gap but a lot of youth at OL/DL and uncertainty at QB/DB)

If Pioli and Bellicheat are still around, I don't see the Pats skipping a beat. Really, even if they arent around, I still think the Pats will be a force. So what that they have an older defense. I don't know why you don't think they aren't bringing in guys to replace their older vets. They just drafted Mayo, Crable, and Ruud. Thats a very impressive group of LB's. They really don't have a need to address their dline with guys like Wilfork, Warren, and Seymour already on the roster with Seymour being the oldest at only 28. Plus the Pats are always bringing in guys for depth on their line. In their secondary they just drafted a very good CB in Wheatley. Hobbs is decent and young. Meriweather was drafted in the 1st round and i'm sure he'll see more time now that Wilson is gone. James Sanders is only 24 and has shown a lot of promise. Not to mention the Pats have around 12 picks in every draft and a great scouting staff as well. Sadly, it will probably be a very long time until the Pats stink.

Dude, its 5 years from now ...

The NY Jets will be feeling the pain from all that off-season speading this year for years to come, and if they dont find a franchise QB soon there gonna be in big big trouble.

Buffalo is very young and could have some potential 5 years down the road. I'm still not that impressed with there drafts in recent memory (besides Lynch). But after us, i would definitely say they have to most potential to become a legit playoff contender 5 years from now.

5 years from now Tom Brady will be 35 and towards the end of his career. Randy Moss will be 36 and he too will be close to end of the road. Agreed they are very very old on defense too right now. So they better start getting some youth soon if they wanna stay near the top in 5 years. But they evaluate talent extremely well and as much as their sorry classless cheater of a head coach if he is still there they should be at least .500 or so (if they can find a replacement for Brady)

Of course i'm a homer like the rest of ya'll, but i definitely feel we have some serious potential to be really really good in 5 years. Granted either Beck of Henne become a solid NFL QB that we desperately need. We're building our franchise the right way now, from the inside out with youth throw the draft.

Gotta believe you are right....

The reason we will be first or second in the division for years to come... is that BP and Sons will continue to improve our O and Dlines...

That is the number one factor...,

Our QB play will improve this year....

QB - even a scmuck with time to make decsions will be better than a star QB who is steam-rolled ever freakin play...
