OL Barry Sims Visits???

who is he where is he from? never heard of him but sims sounds familiar maybe someone else in mind.
 
Sims is from the Raiders and used to get owned by Jason Taylor, Unless he plays guard i dont want this cat

He is an older guy, who was marginal as a LT, but... if he came cheap, he could be a LT or LG for a year while a rookie learns. Or at least be a vet LG next to a rookie LT.

We've got Satale at Center, Smiley at RG, and Carey at either LT/RT. I wonder if Mormino might be a starter at LG? The problem is a new guy next to a rookie LT. Bad combination.

If we could put Smiley at LG, then he could help a rookie LT, and we could also draft a rookie RG and put him next to Carey.

I don't know, it depends on how things shake out in the draft and maybe a surprise cut or two after June 1st. In any event, I hope the OL is settled and practicing as a unit quickly. Then they have a chance to get comfortable working together.
 
He could be a stopgap if Miami passes on a left tackle with the No. 1 pick and takes one later on. The Dolphins' tackle situation is currently a mess.

At worst, if Miami signs him, the Falcons might see this an indication that they're willing to forgo an OT at the #1 spot and could be considering Ryan instead. A *ahem* LONG shot, but it would be worth it if it works even if he simply becomes a camp casualty.
 
i dont think the falcons are going to bite on matt ryan i think they are going to call our bluff

but mcfadden today saying he grew up a cowboys fan helps maybe with the dolphins/cowboys trade?
