It's going to be hard to teach run blocking to two guys (Tunsil and Bushrod) who have been playing tackle for most of their lives. Tunsil completely whiffed on a few running plays and Bushrod is almost as bad at OG as Dallas Thomas...losing leverage often and getting manhandled out there. I don't think Bushrod is ready and I certainly wouldn't start him. If we want to run the ball more effectively I would go with Billy Turner at RG.

Tunsil's progress at LG gives me some level of confidence that he'll get better. He's made a huge improvement already in a fairly short period of time.

Also, Jay Ajayi doesn't look like a starter at RB. He doesn't even look like a backup.

I agree on ajayi. The guy doesn't look good. Last night he had a few holes, but then he tripped or fell for a gain of 2. Very frustrating.

There wasn't many lanes imo but hopefully that changes with nice play calling to keep the box light

this needed a thread?

I think Pead and even D. Williams should be ahead of Ajayi. Is he eligibe for the practice squad?

I'd like to see them experiment with a right-side of Turner and Bushrod. James is a major weak link as a run-blocker, and having two tackle converts inside at guard (I consider Turner a guard because that's at least where he has pro-experience) hurts the run-blocking. If we want any consistent push, Turner seems to be the guy that needs to be inserted, and I feel like Bushrod can do a lot more in the run-game than James. Albert-Tunsil-Pouncey-Turner-Bushrod can move more guys to me, but doubt we'll see it. Just a thought.

Had high hopes for Jay, but I think you're right!

At this point I agree about Ajayi. I think he could get cut.
If Drake shows anything when he gets healthy, he will get the nod over Ajayi.
Foster / Pead looks like the go to guys right now.

Daniel Thomas, man that guy still looks the same. Why is he on this team? Cut him now.
