Are O-line coaches told not to teach run blocking?:err:
It's going to be hard to teach run blocking to two guys (Tunsil and Bushrod) who have been playing tackle for most of their lives. Tunsil completely whiffed on a few running plays and Bushrod is almost as bad at OG as Dallas Thomas...losing leverage often and getting manhandled out there. I don't think Bushrod is ready and I certainly wouldn't start him. If we want to run the ball more effectively I would go with Billy Turner at RG.
Tunsil's progress at LG gives me some level of confidence that he'll get better. He's made a huge improvement already in a fairly short period of time.
Also, Jay Ajayi doesn't look like a starter at RB. He doesn't even look like a backup.
I agree on ajayi. The guy doesn't look good. Last night he had a few holes, but then he tripped or fell for a gain of 2. Very frustrating.
