As well as CB Deion Bleue and OL David Hurd. Some hoped Ola, who came over from the CFL, would be the new Wake on the OL, but that dream was over quickly. Turning over rocks, looking for acorns. Call it what you like, it's still the same thing. Just because the vast majority won't pan out doesn't mean it isn't a good idea to give guys a look.

I listed Ola and Hurd as two guys most likely to get cut in rookie camp. I didn't think Belue would get cut. Philipp is not a great athlete, but scouts say he has quick feet. He did start 48 games at LT, but will play guard in Miami.

What a guy that wasn't even among the best CFL lineman is not good enough to make it to camp. what a shock lol. Wake was a dominant CFL player while Ola is a solid CFL player anybody thinking he was the next Wake was really stretching their hope.

Well, the only reason I even know about Ola is because of the attention it got around here back when he signed. In any case my point is it's not a big deal. The whole "acorns" thing now has a bad name among many posters simply because of the person who said it, but you bring people in and give them a look, and the teams that pay more attention to that usually reap more benefits in the long run.

He was never going to make the final roster anyways. Some of the undrafted guys have a much better chance then he did.
