The jury's still out on it being crappy until we see it perform in a game , as we will have no idea until TC what way it will pan out. All the rotation at the minis shows us that HH was looking for the right combination and until we see some games we wont know.

Our line has gelled and progress in the 2nd half the passed 2 seasons. We absolutely have to get off to a good start with our soft schedule, hopefully it doesn't take 8 games again. I think a lot depends on the left guard position, if we get Kendall or perhaps a solid performance from Lewienski, Mormino, or whoever it may be, we could be okay. THe left side is what worries me, of course the LG position, but also hoping that Carey can hold up at LT. He's one of the the best RTs, but LT is a differnt animal, we need him in a HUGE way this year.

Well I know people on this board don't want Kendell because he was attempting to get released the same as Culpepper.

Well, to be fair, he has not gone as far as Daunte. Daunte has been screaming and crying at every opportunity he has been given in the media, has gone on the field, then left (Making teammates uncomfortable), and has forced the Dolphins to have to their case heard, so that he can ask teammates to be witnesses against the Dolphins (Again making everyone on the team uncomfortable).

Kendell has been trying to force the Jets hand by continuing to say he wants to be let go, but that is as far as he has gone, he has not selfishly dragged his teammates into it.

The Dolphins were ready to trade Daunte to the Jags (A team he has said he wants to play for), he stopped it, if the Jets had tried to trade Kendell to Miami (I know that would NEVER happen), I am sure Kendell would not try to stop it because of spite.

I used to respect Daunte, and was pretty happy when we got him last year, but he has proven me to be wrong about him, I have lost all respect in him.

I would hope ppl want kendall to be released

I dont get your logic. Pete has blasted his own team repeatedly and did not show up for minicamp. Name one negative comment that Pep said about the Phins. He showed up for minicamp.

I don't get this spite thing, Why does he have to renogiate a contract that is not going to be honored. I have never understood this complaint. He signed that new contract to play for the Dolphins, the dolphins are the one that decided they did not want him so why is he wrong for not redoing a contract that the team wanted to get rid of. The team was free to trade Culpepper at any time at the agreed contract. There is alot of hate for Pep but I am really asking a serious question. Is it Pep's fault we got a coach that wanted to go in a new direction, what responsibility does he have as far redoing his contract to help the team trade him. Its not like he was a member of the team for years. I understand this happens all the time with teams changing coaches but still want one person to rationally explain how Culpepper was obligated to redo a recentlt redone contact to help a coach that never did anything for him. I truly want an intelligent reply that can explain this obligation.

Also how has Culpepper dragged his teammates into anything, isn't is a players right to file a greivance if he feels that the contract has been violated. Nobody on this board knows if it was violated and may never know since the hearing was basically prevented.

I agree, i was so happy wen we traded that pick for him. Now look where that got us...I was happy to see him start week 1, but then fail week 1,2,3,4 he finally "rehabbed" again after those 4 games and now ive hated him ever since

I'll let you know after training camp. If these guys can stand up to our front 7, then it's a pretty good indicator of how well they'll do.

As far as Kendall goes, it looks like they'll release him. I don't doubt he'd be happy to play for a division rival and go up against the Jets at least twice a year. Despite what all the posts are going on about above mine, Kendall has a legitimate beef with the Jets. He's also a perfect fit with a rookie center and inexperienced LT.

Well it looks like someone elseses beef might have been legitimate since we avoided the grievance by doing what he wanted. I also dont advocate skipping minicamps because you dont like what happened with your renegotiatian. I just love how its ok for certain people to do things but because we dislike another player its differant.

Talking about Daunte for a moment...

Daunte got paid. A lot. We didn't avoid the grievance so much as we did the quickest and easiest thing in order to get moving forward for TC. It's not so easy for us to ignore Daunte bleating about being treated unfairly when he made a nice chunk of change for letting Joey Harrington play, and then being obstinate when this year rolled around. Rather than sit through this drama for even longer it was expedient to just get rid of him.

If we were trying to be expedient why not cut him weeks ago. That arguement is weak.

Kendell has been acting like an unhappy player that just wants to be paid a little more that is all, he has proven he has proven he deserves it, after all he is still on top of his game. Culpepper on the other hand has yet to prove he he is close to the QB he was before the injury, few teams would ever take a chance on him (Right now at best he is a 2nd string QB) for the money he will expect. Miami told him after they got Green that they were going to try and trade him, and if not would release him. Miami had a bidder right away, but Daunte nixes the idea of playing for the Jags, and now that he is free he is talking about going to the Jags, and if his problem was the contract problem, why did he say he had other suiters, and just was not happy with the just the Jags.

Culpepper was/is damaged goods, he signed a Starting QB's contract with the Dolphins, the position he is getting now (No matter where he goes) is as a backup, and will need to prove himself again. For him to stop a trade because he expects more money or the same contract is very weak.

Also how has Culpepper dragged his teammates into anything, isn't is a players right to file a greivance if he feels that the contract has been violated. Nobody on this board knows if it was violated and may never know since the hearing was basically prevented.

Put yourself in their shoes, you are a Miami dolphin player, and you become friends with Culpepper. He comes to you and asks you to testify for him, do you tell him no because you just want to focus on your football? Daunte put them in a bad situation, and it was very selfish.
