He'd look awfully good in aqua and orange. If not him, maybe Lamar Woodley.

"The Ravens have resigned themselves to the probability that their standout strongside linebacker Adalius Thomas, who is second in the AFC and fifth in the NFL with nine sacks, is going to test the free-agent market this winter.
A long-term contract agreement seems to be out of reach, and the Ravens have accepted that Thomas will test the free-agent waters before deciding what he wants to do with his future.
But this has happened before. Three years ago, Thomas hit the market and found, surprisingly, little interest. His former coaches Marvin Lewis and Jack Del Rio did not attempt to lure Thomas to their respective cities and the linebacker returned to Baltimore.
The same might wind up happening again. But with all the money that all the teams will have available in the free-agent market, it might not. This year, teams view Thomas as more than a special-teams standout, for which he already has been selected to the Pro Bowl. They know he returned a fumble 57 yards for a touchdown last week against the Steelers, and these are the types of plays Thomas has routinely made this season."

I dont know...dont be so fast to think he's so MIA bound

He is a little overweight...and there must be some reason behind the reason BAL wont give him what he wants

Yeah, he's having a good year...but is one year enough to give him what he probably will be asking for?

plus, at 6-2 he weighs 270 LBS!!!

...unless Saban looks at him as a potential replacement for Taylor at ROLB/RE...

Remember, we can always move Crowder to SLB next season and bring in Derrick "hits like a mattruck" Pope to play Crowder's WLB spot and then draft 2 LBs in the draft like in the 3rd and 4th rounds for depth and to groom...

just a thought

but then again, he can start at SLB and relieve Jason Taylor at RE/ROLB when he needs a breather or gets injured...so

maybe i'd welcome the guy in

Yeah, after a second thought, yes! Adalius come on down!!

he has 8 sacks ALREADY...for a linebacker, thats pretty good. we all know Saban likes BIG linebackers, so being 6'2...270, that fits a Saban type guy...and he can always lose 20 pounds in a month or two to trim down a bit. its either him, Cato June, or draft someone like Poluszny or Woodley...who people on here have said arent the type of linebackers Saban likes.

What a big tease this is. They can't let him go. I'll donate $5 towards his contract if it helps.

Chances are we are not going to get Adalius Thomas because of what he's going to ask for in FA. Remember last year when Julian Peterson and Lavar Arrington were FA? They asked for contracts that would put our cap in the worst situation and Thomas will probably do the same.

Adalius, Zach, and Crowder in the 4-3 is frightening. Then adding a nice young rookie to compliment in the 3-4 (Poz?) and we'll be set at LB for some time.

Completely disagree! The difference is that we our $21 mil under the cap without even making any cuts or restructures...and not too mention MIA still even made Lavarr a contract offer with their bad situation last year...so why wouldn't they make him a nice offer when they have the space and are looking at a potential future replacement for Taylor as well as an upgrade to Spragan in the face?

He's MIA bound bro. Face it!

exactly. if they made LAVAR an offer then for sure they have the chance of donig it to thomas BUT i fear that thomas's performance was to amke money. like many other players taht just perform, get a big contract like MARE then play half assed the rest of there careers.

I hope your right bro, i would love to have him on our defense but Saban prides himself on not overpaying for players. The team was supposed to be under the cap by alot last year too but we didn't go out and get any big FA, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I do hope i'm wrong though...

yes, lets go after this guy. we need the LB help. out with spragan in with adalius thomas. welcome to miami.

MIA was "not" under the cap by a lot...they were actually "over" the cap by a lot

what happened was that they needed to cut a lot of big contracts in order to make it under the cap

this year they are $21mil without doing anything...then they'll be a whole lot more under the cap after cutting/trading/restructuring a few players like Booker for example $3.1mil can be cleared

are we seriously going to be 21 mil under in cap room? with restructures if that's true we would be at atleast 25 under

this is correct. MIA has only 36 players under contract after the 2007 season

the good thing is that we still have all of our core players under contract

Only ones that matter are Holiday, Bowens, and Traylor...we probably re-sign them all...

and bell, welker, and lemon are "restricted" free agents...making them fairly easy to re-sign...

and vick, eckel, and vickerson are exclusive rights players...minimum salaries...

also Morris, Barnes, and Minor are UFAs..? who cares ?

by cutting/trading/restructuring Carter, Booker, Big Daddy, James, Anderson, and even trading Mcmichael...we are in "very good shape"

Dont you think?
