Jamaal Westerman - LB - Jets

Free agent OLB Jamaal Westerman is visiting the Dolphins on Wednesday.


Recovering from a torn groin, Westerman was non-tendered by the Jets after making 32 tackles and 3.5 sacks in 2011. He wouldn't be a starter for the Dolphins.
 
Good run-stopping LB who definitely showed some flashes of brilliance last year. Would be a great pick-up IMO.

Interesting. I like the player, but i'm curious as to where he lines up in a 4-3
 
The Dolphins, where second tier free agents go to.
 
I think this would be a solid depth move. I heard him on WFAN the other day and he seemed like he's a good dude, too.
 
I am as upset as the rest of you with the lack of moves and the lack of getting a #1 WR and a starting QB. However, every time a thread is made about interest in a player or that they are visiting do we need the childish sarcastic posts like "Can he throw the ball?", "Who the hell is this?", "Joke of a franchise". There are other positions that need to be addressed.

Agreed. If it's not a "name" people act like it's the end of the world.
