Am I in the minority when I want I want Henning to return in 2009? I think he was very creative and utilized what he had to work with to its fullest. I would love to see what he can do with a big time center and a playmaker wideout.

I think that reverse would have went for big yardage before that inside push caused the loss.

Whats the verdict guys?

He has done a great job this year; however, I think our scheme is ill suited to the Ravens defense. we should have learned that from the first time we played. I will say that most offensive schemes probably look horrible against them. It is a testament to their skill. We've done well this year becuase we have executed but our scheme is very difficult to execute properly and when you make mistakes it can look awful. I think it goes back to that adage "IT's not about the X's and O's but the Willie's and Joe's." Maybe we need some more Willie's and Joe's or Crabtree's and Duke Robinson's.

I'm just really disappointed. Nothing short of the Super Bowl would have been good enough though I guess. You wonder how the players fell if we're sittin around cryin in our beers

I hope he returns, too.. Very creative, unconventional and always tries to use the players to the best of their abilities..

I hope he comes back. He was solid calling plays. Adapted well to the game flow.

i think he did really great with the little talent that he had to work with. he has great plays to call but he doesnt always call the right plays at times. like against the ravens, i think it was a WR reverse with Ginn on a short or maybe medium third down inside the ravens 40 or 30 yard line. i think the hand off was bad and a 10+ yard loss on the play and taking the phins out of field goal range.

no you are not in the minority, I am
:woot:

The guy knows what he is doing. I am excited to see what he can do when we upgrade the o-line and have the ability to run between the tackles.

His playcalling when we needed to score was solid. But I don't like the fact that we'd go vanilla on offense with small leads. It seemed like we could score at will when we needed to. But when we had a small lead we couldn't get a first down. I don't know if Henning or Sparano is responsible, but I hate sitting on leads. I don't mind him overall, hopefully this trend doesn't continue though. We were fortunate to win several of those close games where we should have buried those teams, and I honestly believe we could have.

I want him back, but he needs to stop making random calls that don't work at all and leave you saying " Did we REALLY just run that? Are you kidding me? " But usually, he made great calls when we really needed them, but whenever we'd get a lead he never seemed to want to go for the kill
