Just wondering how many old school Dol-Fans are here that remember
watching that 83 AFC Chamionship game against Jets?Beating the Jets
sunday made me remember that great game where A.J. Duhe went
wild intercepting Richard Todd 3 times.Went to the Super Bowl(lost)
but got Danny in the draft that year.If only Don had put Strock in the game earlier. What a year.Thoughts from any oldtimers?

Remember like it was yesterday. Our generation took a lot for granted since we grew accustomed to the Phins owning that division for nearly 2 decades (thanks to Shula and his committment to excellence). That has made the past 5-6 yrs tough to watch.
I feel bad for the younger fans because they don't view the Phins the way older fans do. They haven't had the pleasure of seeing the Phins as one of the elites of the NFL.
In the 70's and 80's there were only a handful of elite teams (Phins, Cowboys, Steelers, Raiders) who were perennial playoff teams.

Remember watching it with my dad. AJ Duhe was awsome. He owned Richard Todd. Those were the days. Remember the Jets complaining that we didn't cover the field. Great one upmanship.

I was 11. What's interesting about bringing this up is how hard it has been for me in the last 3-4 years. Last year in particular was just so hard on me as a fan.

But, then there are weeks like this. There's the rivalries this division has that just add layers to being a Dolphins fan. Seeing the Dolphins win AT the Jets just reinforces why I could never stop appreciating the rich history this team has.

Great stuff.

This years team kind of reminds me of that team,a little.

Watch it? Not only did I watch it, I was there.

What a great day for football. Rain, mud, scoreless halftime.

Made it onto the field at the end of the game. Marc Gastineau walked past me crying like Brigitte Nielsen left him.

"Todd is God" my @zz!

Oh yes!! The year I was released from prison(AKA got out of high school) I think AJ Duhe is one of my favorite players of all time. That game was really something.:hi5:
