Not sure how much this has been talked about on here lately but it almost seems like everyone forgot about the situation we have with him. Im curious as to if we keep him or not. He was a big factor this year missing i think it was 10 feild goals? Some of them were even game changing. I do believe he can still perform like he used to but he is just walking on thin ice, especially with the salary he has.

So my main question is, do we keep him and if not who do we get?

I would keep him IF he takes a substantial paycut. He's still one of the best in the league on kickoffs, and honestly, who's out there that's clearly an upgrade over him?

If he won't part with the money though, cut his a**. He's way too inconsistent to be making Vinatieri money.

I agree with this....he still proved to be reliable makign 5 feild goals in the last game and missing none. Although it was in a dome i still think that was a good performance. I just dont want us to pay him the money hes getting based on how he performed this past season.

I also agree that there are not many better kickers out there. At least experienced ones.

He wouldn't take a pay cut last year.

I think he's gonna be a traveling man...

I agree. He wouldn't take a pay cut last year when asked. And after the year he just had, if he says no again . . . . . . don't let the door hit you on the way out. There are decent kickers out there at a much more cost effective price. And if nothing else, we could get a decent K in the draft in the later rounds.

ive always been a proponent of eliminating the FG all together...

prater baby is signed up this kid is a really good kicker i say bye bye olindo!

I would like to see Mason Crosby in Miami. This guy can flat out kick the ball with accuracy. Granted, he was playing his home games at altitude in Boulder CO. But when he went on the road he kicked the snot out of the ball. I don't know how early he will be drafted, but for a later round, sure.

and replace it with what? the free throw?

OM needs to eat crow, humble himself and return to whatever he did to make himself successfull in the past. What ever he has been doing the last 3 years is not working.

I like Crosby a lot, but he'll be gone in the 2nd. I just can't justify spending a 2nd round pick on a kicker, especially the 39th overall.

Well, weren't half of his misses from 50+ yards? I'm not trying to defend him, but those are hard kicks to make, and if his leg weren't so strong, they wouldn't attempt them in the first place.

Not that I'm excusing all the misses. If he is willing to take a rather large paycut, then bring him back. But he's not worth it at the money he's making now.

I really think this guy Prater that we signed has a chance to beat out Olindo.
