I will be the first to admit that even though Houck is a good coach I didn't think that he could do anything with the talent on our O-line, but I have really been pleasantly suprised by their progress. Today I thought they had their best game of the season. It just shows you what a great choice Saban made stealing him away from San Diego.

True. I just hope McKinney's alright.

didn't see the game today but judging by the way Ronnie & Ricky have been running and how few sacks we've allowed, I definately agree.. It's got to be something and we didn't exactly stack the line this past offseason.

Our talent was always good enough. I had serious doubts about McKinney, but other than that, I've seen too many instances of lines full of 5, 4 rounders playing competently. We'd been throwing first day picks at OL for years yet they weren't developing? I simply couldn't accept that every one of these guys were beyond hope and could only look to Tony Wise.

One thing that really caught my eye was a stat shown in the first half that we averaged 4.5-yds/carry ... that was 4th in the NFL. That pretty much brought it out to me that we have come a long way on the line. And that coupled with the low sack numbers we've given up ... Great job Houck and Davis.

Carey got beat a couple times by burgess's speed. and we didnt have much movement in the running game besides a few times. we had better pass blocking than run blocking today, which is weird.
