Olivier Vernon goes down/returns to practice

Olivier Vernon suffered an apparent ankle injury Monday during an 11-on-11 drill at Miami Dolphins training camp.

Vernon was trying to strip the football from former Miami Hurricanes teammate Lamar Miller during the play.

Once the play stopped, Vernon stayed on the ground noticeably in pain.

Broken ankle? Hopefully just a sprain.

Broken ankle? Hopefully just a sprain.

Hopefully nothing serious but sometimes you're better off breaking your ankle then spraining it. Sprains can/do linger.

Glad to read he's back practicing already. Maybe they were just practing the "stop the clock" injury.

if it's an ankle once that swelling and soreness kicks in i bet he misses a few days...wel tomorrows an off day so that should help

If it was broken he would have been carted off the field. I suspected the injury was probably a sprain. Glad to see him fight through it. Shows toughness.

i twisted my ankle reading that report. i have yet to return to practice.
