You have to realize that, Wake is actually opening up Vernon's side of the line. Without Wake's pressure and the attention he draws from a teams oline, Vernon wouldn't have as many sacks as he has. It's equivalent to a dominant wide receiver pulling defenses to one side of the field and allowing the lesser known wide receivers on the opposite side to rack up their stats.
That's not taking anything away from Vernon, but let's understand how/why he's so successful all of a sudden.
You don't have to explain football to me, thanks. I know exactly what you are saying and it is true, yes but, do you give all the credit of OVs 10.5 sacks to Wake? Would wake have the 6.5 sacks if OV wasn't on the other side? or if Solai wasn't in the middle taking up blockers? And you are taking away from OV by saying the only reason he has his sacks is because wake is on the other side. You are giving credit for those sacks to Wake. Wake was on the team last season when OV didn't have this many sacks, what changed? OVs improvement is what changed. If he continues to improve, he'll be an all pro. Sort of like wake and JT.

I will remember that Cam Wake won that Bengals game for us in overtime.... This could be the reason we might make the playoffs over the Bengals.
Point?
