Olivier Vernon on the defensive line this year: "We're excited. We can change the game, the momentum of everything."

I agree with him 100%. But it wont mean a thing unless our linebackers stop the run. One thing about this team that I'm heavily concerned with is our linebackers.

You guys think Miami will pick up a linebacker that doesn't survive cuts during training camp? I think anything is better when what we currently have.

looks like they are going with what they have at LB. I do wish they could have replaced Wheeler

I suspect if the draft had fallen differently they might have, that said I'm sure unless he has some miraculous improvement this year that somebody will be acquired next year to replace him.

WOW.. So all 3 of our LB's + backups are not starters in this league and anyone who gets cut in Training camp from another team would be an upgrade???

Misi is being under rated. I think he will be fine in the middle. Big, physical and with a high motor. He's much maligned on this site, simply because he never became the fast twitch edge rusher many thought he was drafted to be.
I think he can make the conversion in much the same way that Timmons did for the Steelers.

Totally agree!!! Misi is always killed on this site and what I see is a very solid and sound player. He's never gonna be Lawrence Taylor or Ray Lewis but at the end of the day he's just fine. I think Ellerbe will be fine. Wheeler was and still is the question mark

ellerbee was every bit as awful as Wheeler so Im not sure why he wouldn't be a question mark. The team has already deemed he cannot man the position they signed him for. How is this not a hige question mark

Linebacker corp is awful

Oh my bad ellerbee was awesome but somehow Im being a downer by saying otherwise.
You do realize what a Debbie downer is , of course not.
A Debbie downer is not someone that sees awful effort and points it out.
So please tell me how good ellerbee was last year after we gave him that fat contract. We signed him to be our MLB and was so damn good we decided to replace him at his position lol

And if not we can always try him at Safety. Keep moving him around and sooner or later we will find a place where he is valuable.

You sure complain about being called as such, but continue to provide the evidence for being called a debbie dowber.

I think Misi can physically handle the middle but mentally is completely different. I have no insight to that nor does anyone else here. He seems like a bright guy and I'm hopeful he can pick it up. Obviously it can't get much worse than last year.

moving Ellerbe back to the position he played in Baltimore sounds smart to me

For once we agree he should be on the bench like he was in Baltimore.
I don't see how u see him playing the same position as in Baltimore. The season he had his greatest success was inside linebacker in Baltimore in a 3-4.
We don't run a 3-4 so he is not playing the same position by going to outside linebacker in a 4-3

I don't complain about it just cant figure out why a seemingly smart group of people like our board are too stupid to know what the hell it means.
