Casey Pearce, of Chargers.com, reports the San Diego Chargers likely will not re-sign impending free-agent DE Igor Olshansky.

Guy is a baller and has been a real good 3-4 DE for a number of years. Younger and might be cheaper then Holliday as well.

With Philip Merling, Kendall Langford and the still young Randy Starks rotating at DE, there is no need for DE's on our team. We are young and good there, and the young players will certainly improve. You can bet good money on that.

We have much more pressing needs than DE.. In fact, DE is our strongest and deepest position on our defense when you also include Holliday and others... What we need is talented nosetackles, linebackers and a corner. The defensive ends are set.

The Defensive ends are set, and now with Wilson and Bell signing, the safeties are set. Now we need to get some talented players for the other positions on defense (either via the draft, free agency, cuts from other teams, or trades etc).

No. We've got enough DE's as it is.

Holiiday did have better stats then Olshansky did last year, my worry is he is going up in age.
