Omar: Dolphins offense to cut block

Cheap and dirty play always come back to bite you. I do not like the style but if it works with our players, I will hold my nose.
I am a fan of the power game.

I'm not a fan of cut blocking, but the intent of its use is not to injure. A cheap shot is what took out Samson Satele last season. Vickerson obviously went after Satele's knee.

As long as its within the rules, Im fine with it...

Hmm. Yeah not really a fan of cut blocks either but it goes both ways concerning offense and defense. Chiefs LB Derrick Johnson is a helluva cut tackler as he always goes low. These days I would think we'll see more and more of it with the emphasis being put on helmet to helmet hits and and the hyped concerns over concussions.

IMO, it's only a matter of time before light weight knee braces become part of the the mandatory equipment for player safety. Many lineman wear them as precaution regardless of their knee health already.

Not a fan of it. Hated playing the Texans because of it. Expect MIA to have a few linemen voted " Dirtiest" amongst their peer's.

Incognito probably did more cut blocks than any other player on our team the last few years. No surprise he is considered one of the dirtiest players...

Somebody should cut block Omar every time he reaches for his PC.

POST OF THE YEAR right there.

nothing has touched it so far and wont. its just beautiful in its simplicity. brilliant stuff.

AND true!!

You have to realize that cut bllocks is part of the game. Hell I teach my Peewee team to cut on certain plays. Its not intended to hurt anyone. The cheap hits that many of you are refering too (Denver) was when you got cut from the back or your blind side. Denver o-line was known for rolling up on d-lineman from out of view and not in front of them and thats how many guys got hurt. This has since been ruled a chop block as well and is now a penalty. You should not see a lot of injuries as a result of cut blocking. NE does it all the time. I'm OKAY with it.

yeah, great.

Thanks Omar! Thanks for telling Belichick you douche. He's such an anti-dolphin.
You think Belichick didn't already know? Just look at the way Houston's O-line has played when John Benton was there the last 8 seasons. This is not a revelation Omar is making. Anyone who's watched Houston already knew what was coming.

Cut blocking is great, slows down defensive lineman and always keeps them guessing. Also, it creates huge cut back lanes. Looking forward to seeing it done CORRECTLY... no point in doing it if it isn't being done right.

That's exactly what I was thinking, everybody in the league knows that this was going to be a part of our blocking scheme.........."Thanks for telling Belichick", Omar anti-dolphin? Maybe I'm to old now, I just don't get it.
