According to a report, he had a pretty good workout with the Dolphins. I would like to see us sign him to the practice squad for the rest of the season and then send him to NFL Europe. After that, see what he can do for us. It certainly wouldn't hurt.

I agree.

Sounds like a good plan. I agree.

Ithink he will only be added if Culpepper goes on the IR, then he will be signed to the Practice squad, just my gut feeling.

Sure, as long as we don't count on him for anything.

This organization has made it a practice of going bargain basement on QB prospects the last 2 regimes and it's just one of the many huge mistakes that are handicapping this team.

Send him to Europe, just don't pass on every good QB prospect in the draft because we've got Omar in Europe and long term project Cleo Lemon. It would be a typical thing this organization would do.

Harrington basically has a 2-year contract. Jacobs was as impressive in college as Matt Leinart. Prospect, though, is the correct word. He needs time and coaching.

Practice Squad this year, World League Next year... and then maybe he's our 3rd-string QB, like Cleo Lemon is this year.

He looked horrible in the prseason for Pittsburg. He couldn't even call a play and get the team up to the line before the clock expired. He would definately be a project, but then again we've got a whole team of projects right now.

sign him up NOW!!

jacobs is a big time talent, and that is a premium position!

when you have this kind of oportunity, you take it!

I was wondering if maybe the Steelers drafted him as a WR project like they did with Randle El and Ward both of which were college QBs. Jacobs is very fast and shifty could have been their replacement for Randle El that busted. Just a thought.

 the guys not even on a team! if he was "big time talent" he would probably be at least a backup on someones team, right? we have had this "kind of opportunity" all year considering he was a free agent without a team, right?

im not saying we shouldnt sign the guy for the PS, but lets not label him the second coming, now seriously.

:sidelol: WOW...you cant be serious:shakeno: are you going to try to compare the level of competition at bowling green to USC????????waaaaay off base on this one.
