As many reasonably good people have been lured away from SOFLA, the dregs remain.

There's a reason they won't hire them to the national company

I like Turner. He's got a ton of ability. But imo he faces an uphill climb to start right away. He's switching positions, is coming from a low level of comp and is self evidently raw when you watch him play. Pay attention to how he uses his hands in particular. He mistimes punches and punches in the wrong place, and not infrequently. In college he got by at times on sheer ability.

I love his raw foot quickness and attitude, but not knowing how to use your hands gets you beat quickly, which gets your quarterback beat on almost as quickly.

Ju'Waun James is a far more polished product and is going to start right away. He'll get overwhelmed by power, especially as a rookie, but he's not going to be prone to the same gaffes as Turner.

It seems like James, Turner and Larsen could be on this line for some years to come. I really think Tyler Larsen may end up being the real steal of this class.

Saying "you can always find OL starters later in the draft" is one thing. Doing it is something else. Seems like Hickey really did his homework on a lot of these small school guys.

This class doesn't seem to have the flash most like in the draft. But if you look at draft and undrafted class, you can see a lot of blue collar type guys who have been leaders and are very disciplined in their craft with regards to practice, technique and work ethic.

I believe this class will be very much apart of the core of this team for many years. This might just be one of those drafts that defines our team and drives us into consistency and winning.

When you find 3 OL starters in the draft and UDFA... it's hard not to wonder why you needed so many, but it's also not difficult to applaud the effort of your GM and Scouting Department on finding them.

As far as talent, the OL is now one of the stronger units on this team. Now it's time for the coaches to do their job. Going against our DL every day can only improve them.

Larsen is a guy that from what I've heard has a good chance to make the 53 man roster, at minimum the practice squad. He needs some developing, but apparently has the talent were he could end up as being the center of the future.

I think James is a sure fire starter at RT. As for Turner the Guard spots are open competition really. With Smith, Thomas, Turner, Larsen, Brenner, and others anybody could win one of the 2 spots.
