Omar Kelly:How can Miami Dolphins solve this QB issue?

Trade down and pick Tannehill. Just make sure we trade before pick 22 of the Browns.

thats where i think he comes off if we pass at #8...although a part of me thinks kc in the teens could pull the trigger...

Im sure that cleveland would move up from its second number one. Tannehill will go before 20

oh i think he's going at #8...but i'm not so sure if kc passes if he doesn't get into the 20's and someone comes and gets him...people are gonna love that athleticism and the measurables...no doubt about that

He'll sit back as long as they ask him to, he isn't ready because he thinks he is.

Boy! you guys don't what you want, what is the definition of Franchise? Tom Brady or Mark sanchez?

Trading down doesn't work when someone can trade up ahead of you and get the guy you targetted.

What would have to happen is you draft BPA, and then see if you can call someone up around pick 14-15, ask them to draft Tannehill and have them trade him and a 2nd round pick for the BPA you drafted.

At least that's how it works in the NBA, not sure you can do that in the NFL draft.

Hey I wanted to "Suck for Luck" as much as anyone when we were 0-7 last year, but unfortunately it didn't turn out that way. We kept winning and playing ourselves out of Luck and RGIII's draft reach, and qbs like Barkley and Landry Jones kept declaring they would stay in school. That leaves us with Tannehill as our best draft option. I still think he's a better option long term than Flynn or Alex Smith, but time will tell. I agree with the folks saying draft the kid. Take a chance for once Ireland instead of being safe and trying to find a value pick in the later rounds. It's very hard to find the next Tom Brady or Joe Montana. That sort of fluke only happens once a generation if that.

MAYBE IT'S ALREADY SOLVED?

hard to judge a guy who came in off the bench, has played less than 2 seasons worth of nfl games. didnt have time to learn the play book, not much camp and NO time with the starters. a HORRIFIC o-line and a star wr who dropped a good 6 or so td passes from matt moore as well as many other big play passes.

how would our qb look had our star wr hung on to those passes matt moore made the throw on? hmmmmm....., cant drop a td or big play pass that wasnt thrown!!

i have said all along i think we have something special in matt moore and not to be suprised if he is the qb on opening day.

so far, looks like the staff feels the same way. who wouldnt want manning? even a team that was one play short of the superbowl brought him in when they had a qb that had taken them a hair from the show!!

didnt sign flynn when everyone thought it was a foregon conclusion.

gerrard? if moore was as bad as portrayed by fans and surely being replaced by the staff, they wouldnt have made gerrard their only qb move.

will they draft one? absolutely because we really dont have anything behind moore. i doubt gerrard makes it out of the first pre season game, maybe gone before camp completes and then what?

we have to, and WILL draft a qb. but matt moore will be the starter unless we get lucky and draft the next tom brady.

This article might be interesting to someone in the 6th grade, offering no new info or no different point of view. Yawn.

Sooo... Let me get this straight, there was no easy answer for a "franchise QB". Manning at 36 yo, but he didn't like South Beach, and a franchise QB for how long? Flynn???? a franchise, apparently not accordingly to a coach who has been around him for a good while. Smith, after 6 years in the league and only 1 serviceable year? No need to answer that one. Tannehill... at #8, that's a stretch. Most of the pundits say: mid to late 1st... but DolPhans want him at #8, and if it happens, then he MUST come in and start or 'that f***er Ireland' has boar hogged us yet again. It is simply put a 'no win' situation.

My vote would be Ingram 1st and then trade UP in (whatever it takes) front of KC and get Tannehill. Frustration is rampant... even for me 46 years after my first game, but reason must prevail here. 32 teams and not near (maybe 10) that many "franchise" QB's.

Yeah I'm with you on this one. No knock on Omar but the article doesn't offer anything new at all. But then again, I'm guessing if you asked the average fan down the street who Ryan tannehill is, they would have no idea. So I guess the article is more for the general masses, which is fine.

I'm still shocked people talk about 'Best Player Available' as a strategy for the Phins going into this draft... Unreal. BPA is a luxury for teams with depth and MOST IMPORTANTLY teams WITH A QB... There is no such thing as a 'reach' when you have the talent evaluators to properly identify 'your guy'... You go get him... PERIOD. Don't play games, don't get cute... Go and get your guy and sleep soundly that night. Forget about what spot you got him... that is for the bean counters... Get your guy and begin the process of coaching him up whoever that is.

You Like Tannehill? Grab him at 8 and be done with it and quit whining about 'value'... There is no position MORE valuable than QB... Maybe... just maybe through all of this sh**storm it is possible that even an ego like Ireland has at last learned that.

What are you guys wining about? Draft your QB when he is not a reach. Always go for BPA and most importantly CTFD and quit trying yo be a GM. Man some of you guys are barely good fans. Get off Irelands back, sit back and enjoy the show. Out?

Dont worry about our chances for a 4th losing season. Thats better then 50% chance if we dont upgrade our QB. Get er done Philbin! Choose someone thats physically talented and can play in your and Shermans system (same system). Who could that be and are they one of the highest rated QBs in this draft? Let me think. Must be someone that fits the characteristics.
