There’s a good chance Yeremiah Bell, who has led the team in tackles every year since 2008, becomes a salary cap casualty.
Bell’s cap number is $6.2 million in 2012. It’s the fourth highest cap number on the team, trailing Jake Long, Brandon Marshall and Karlos Dansby.
I’ve given guys the salary cap kiss of death accurately for the past four years, predicting just about everyone (can’t think of anyone I’ve missed on) who would get purged for financial reasons by the Trifecta.
I’m puckering up on Bell.

I wonder if he would be willing to restructure and give a hometown discount. Don't really want to lose him.

I'm over Bell. Can't cover at all, lost most of the "speed" he did have at one point, and is just a sure tackler. I would just let him go, let Clemons start at FS and finally move Jones to SS and then we can either sign a legitimate safety to replace Clemons or draft someone

No way Bell plays this next year for a cap hit of $6.2 million.

He either will restructure, take less money, or he will be playing somewhere else next year.

Dude is a liability in coverage, and can't cover a seem threat tight end to save his soul. Good in nickell packages, while close to the box. That's it.

Good riddance

imo bell has been the most solid out of ALL OUR DB S SS and i would rather loose one of the other players b 4 i lost bell but i agree he needs to restructure and get us a lil more money to sign some FA players imo if we could get him around 3-4 mil instead of 6 mil that would help us out a whole lot but imo hes outplayed everyone else in the db poss. imo smith would be the one that would be getting less because he hasnt done a whole lot of squat and bell has worked circles around him.

Not sure what anyone sees in Bell. No way do I want him on the team at his current salary.

You guys are being way to critical of Bell. He has been a solid player for us for a long time. Not saying he shouldn't take less money but he has been a fine safety for us

The only circles Bell runs are around a TE down the field

Bell has been a nice player for the phins but he is getting long in the tooth, a step slow, and too expensive. Hopefully the Phins address the safety position this coming year.

He is not good anymore in my opinion, and getting worse year to year. 6 million is a lot and could be used elsewhere
