We don't have any cornerbacks really and Jimmy Wilson can play the nickel so he has dual purpose and he'll most likely start there once Reshad comes back.

because a couple of them are gonna be used at CB as well, they're just labeled safeties. Just my guess.

Aikens can also play corner. Also one of those 5 safeties, Rashad Jones, will be suspended. Kelly's list has 55 players because he's including Jordan and Jones.

Omar actually has a 55 man roster with Jordan and Reshad Jones not counting with suspension.
If you remove Jones, it becomes 4 CBs and 4 Safeties. Jimmy Wilson, Walt Aikens and Mike Thomas are all listed as Safeties but can play CB as well.

I think the feeling is if you lose Satale you can always finish the game with Garner. You can then add a player later if needed. Plus in 4 or 5 weeks Pouncey will be back starting, I wonder in three weeks will he be ready enough to at least be an emergency back up.

He has Brenner on the PS. Matt Hazel, Evan Finkenberg, Garrison Smith, Kamal Johnson, Don Jones and Jordan Kovacs all getting PS consideration.

Interesting on the Kyle miller front...you could keep him as your 3rd tight end and upgrade off someone's cuts if it shakes free...I know if I was him I wouldn't be celebrating anything til any potential claims are done with...cause that's one spot I have O doubts they want to get a better option on...and need to...3rd tight end is active on gamedays

Walt Aikens was pretty awful at the start of camp at corner, hence the move to safety. I seriously doubt the coaching staff would throw him in at CB during a game.

Here's what he said about the TE.

Cut: Evan Wilson. The Dolphins should keep a fourth tight end around to brace for injuries, but they might want to find someone better than Miller, who can continue developing on the practice squad.

I didn't even know jones and brenner were eligible after being active last year for the p squad...these rules must have changed

Yes. I think they doubled the amount of experience you can have and still be placed on the PS.
