Nothing but positives.

Showed Daunte throwing absolute darts. Showed Saban coaching guys up. Showed defensive backs slapping hands and forming relationships.

The anchors talked about Ronnie being ready to carry the load this year. My God does that young man have some absolute bazookas that he calls arms.

My favorite part...and keep in mind, I really, really like Solomon Wilcotts. I really do.

But one week ago he said, "Unfortunately for Dolphins fans, I think Joey Harrington will have to start the season. He'll do fine, but Daunte won't be ready."

Well, after seeing the footage from today, how Daunte moved laterally, sprinted, made every play, his opening statement at the top of the show was...

"If and when Daunte Culpepper starts week one, there won't be a lot of happy people in Minnesota, but there will be a BUNCH of happy people in South Florida."

Numero Ocho is making believers peeps!!!!!

:ffic:

nice.........cant wait for the steeler game, luckily ill be there

Not over yet, as Adam Schefter will apparently discuss Daunte in the next segment.

Cool.

I'm watching as I drink my sprite and Vodka.

I bet it's all more good news. There's absolutely nothing negative to report on the guy right now.

Schefter: "People and media could not believe how well Culpepper moved around. Fans were cheering him on..."

At this point, that Thursday night game against Pittsburgh, it looks like a distinct possibility that Daunte Culpepper will play in it."

DD28- so I guess Saban was not "miked up" for NFL Total Access.

I wonder if it was for FINS TV. Does anybody know if ESPN had a segment on Dolphins mini camp tonight?

I don't know man.

Maybe it was for ESPN.

I've never heard him miked for Fins TV before either.

I guess we'll see.

You gotta love DD28's high energy posts.

Thanks for the report man. All we hear is nothing but positive news about Culpepper. I seriously don't think we will see Harrington starting any games this season.

Thanks Ace.

I'm just so excited right now. Can't say I can remember a Dolphins season I've looked forward to as much as this one.

I still wonder if RB will get through the season healthy. With all he does it is not a cut deal, that he will. Last season he had RW to carry him. This year that aint going to happen?

Oh I know how you feel man. I don't think I was ever really excited with Wanny as our coach because I knew that we would win about 9-11 games and then lose in either the 1st or 2nd round of the playoffs. That was a common trait in the Wanny era. Now we have a coach who is in the mold of Belichick and know's how to build a champion team. He has enough balls to trade for players who are injured, but becomes a high award when healthy. Saban has really brought this team into the winning mode and it actually feel's good have a real smart coach being your HC and guiding your team to the SB. Both offseasons with Saban has been really exciting and I'm looking foward to many more in the future. :ffic:

Yeah, and in 2004, when there was a plethora of coaching candidates, I endorsed Nick Saban from the get-go.

I wasn't sure he would leave LSU, but I wanted him to coach the Fins so badly I could taste it. Like I've said before, I think I was the only person in Baton Rouge, LA who was elated he left to coach the Fins.

Some wanted Brad Childress. Some wanted Charlie Weiss.

I wanted Nick Saban. He's cutting-edge as far as coaching goes. The dude just refuses to lose.

RW wasn't necessary last year. RB was doing quite well and on pace for 1200-1400 yd season. He has never had any injury problems or conditioning problems that I am aware of.
People keep citing the fact that he shared carries with CW at Auburn, however, the same argument can be made with respect to CW i.e. he shared carries with RB. Yet, no one seems to question CW's ability to be a full time starter for the Bucs.

And doesn't it seem like the players are taking on his attitude and are growing into the mold of the player he wants, especially mentally. Just listen to JT today when talking about the 6 game winning streak at the end of last season. "That was last year, that means nothing now!" he said. Do you know how many times Nick has probably said that to them since OTA days started? I bet they hear "That was last year, that means nothing now!" in their sleep. If you get all the players on the field on the same page and not only knowing their job, but their teammates job, and then, being on the same page as the coach, and knowing pre play, during the play, and post play, that they did exactly what their job responsibility was on that play, then you have one hell of a special team or unit. We've seen that in New England when sometimes, it just seems as if the Defense is in the offensive huddle. Now, It's time to witness that here. I want to be a witness.
