On a positive note... 2 Miami Rookies on top 10 rookie watch

not sure how much i like the pouncey pick yet but I am glad to see Thomas playing so well especially behind our crap line. Pretty impressive.

Thats a good question I know Webb and Sims were immediate hits. I would say 1992 with Troy Vincent and Marco Coleman
Coleman was a disappointment to me.....I don't believe he ever got more than 6 sacks in any season....Vincent was good for us but played better in Philly....for sure I thought Coleman was going to be an all pro but I was wrong on that one.

Ozzy rules!!

You think two guys getting mentioned absolves him of his crappy personnel decisions? Those two are easily cancelled out by Reshad Jones and Nolan Carroll. Not to mention our other first round pick Jared Odrick has been AWOL. Then you have A.J. Edds who was cut, Koa Misi who I don't even know if he plays for us any more, Pat White...he should be fired on that alone, Shawn Murphy, Donald Thomas, Patrick Turner and on and on.

I am not an Ireland fan, but those picks were done when Parcells was still here. So its really hard to lay all the blame on Ireland for that. I even remember reading where Pat White was strickly a Parcells pick. If you look at this past draft with Ireland totally in charge, he seems to have done a pretty good job at the moment. Even Wilson looks good at cornerback so far.

Props to the players for their performance.

As for Ireland, props for DT looking good so far. Hitting on the highest rated interior lineman at #15 is not getting props from me. If he turns into a Hall fo Fame type player then you get props.

If you hit on a quality center in say....the 3rd round......then you get the atta-boy jeff.

Coleman was a disappointment compared to what he did in college at Georgia Tech. He was a beast in college. I thought Troy Vincent was a stud at cornerback though. I remember watching him and Louis Oliver together. Louis Oliver was one of my favorite Dolphins ever. He hit like a mack truck at safety.

this draft so far this year has been pretty solid...jimmy wilsons a keeper corner dt is becoming our future b/t the tackles rb gates needs to see the field more but is still very raw as to be expected and pounceys been pretty solid although you will never ever talk me into interior line being good value with a top 20 pick...not unless is the one missing piece you need to get over the hump and we weren't close to that heading into this last draft...i think ireland has shown well in this draft

but trading down for odrick and misi screamed quantity over quality last year and maybe a lot of thats on parcells i don't know...

but irelands existing nfl personnel decisions have been poor to say the least...and i'm sure sparano has had some input into that...and they both should be held accountable

He has made some mistakes, but so does everyone. I'm not worried about late rounders as barely any in the league actually produce. The Pat White pick was a Parcells pick and I think everyone knows that. Look, he's not perfect, but he's not as bad as some people make him out to be. I would say he's a better GM than Sparano is a head coach.

Just think of what we had before Ireland came here. Ted Ginn over Patrick Willis, Ronnie Brown over Aaron Rodgers, Jason Allen....

Tory Vincent, before his knee injury was one of the best CBs I've ever seen.

After it, he was still top quality.

Marco Coleman was probably who'd I'd've drafted at the time. I thought
he was a sure fire stud at the time.

If he let Parcells make those picks he should have left. It was his reputation on the line not Parcells...Parcells took his money and ran like he always does, never sees a job through to the finish.

The draft aside the personnel decisions made in free agency have not been good enough. The countless Cowboy trash we keep bringing in, the fact that 90% of our free agents have some tie to the Cowboys is beyond ridiculous now. It's almost as if he does zero NFL scouting, if he did there would be no way we sign Marc Colombo...and if you blame that on Sparano then what exactly is Ireland doing? Again, it's his reputation on the line, his player evaluations, he's the GM and the makeup of the roster falls on him not Sparano.
