On a positive note... 2 Miami Rookies on top 10 rookie watch

it's way too early to judge Odrick a bust.
And it's way too early to say this draft class was a good one.

This regime gave up on Samson Satele at Center and the guy has been a starter for the Raiders who happen to have one of the best rushing offenses in the league for the last two years and it probably would have been 3 years if not for the fact they were always playing from behind 3 years ago. They did average 4.1 ypc in 2009. But our O-line guru head coach though he wasn't good enough here.

Jared Odrick was a 1st round pick, Pat White and Koa Misi were 2nd round picks. But nice of you to pick two of the many I named to prove your point.

"...Those two are easily cancelled out by Reshad Jones and Nolan Carroll..."

You may have mentioned others, but you were specific about those two 5th round picks cancelling out Pouncey and Thomas.

If he let Parcells make those picks he should have left. It was his reputation on the line not Parcells...Parcells took his money and ran like he always does, never sees a job through to the finish.

The draft aside the personnel decisions made in free agency have not been good enough. The countless Cowboy trash we keep bringing in, the fact that 90% of our free agents have some tie to the Cowboys is beyond ridiculous now. It's almost as if he does zero NFL scouting, if he did there would be no way we sign Marc Colombo...and if you blame that on Sparano then what exactly is Ireland doing? Again, it's his reputation on the line, his player evaluations, he's the GM and the makeup of the roster falls on him not Sparano.

We didn't overpay for Orton, and who knows how much Ross has tied Ireland's hands regarding how much he can spend, which limits our access to top tier linemen.

One guy missing from that list Ben tate he was drafted in 2010 but was on IR all year, know he is not a dolphin but should be on list
Agree Tate looks good but he was , as you say , drafted in 2010 and is therefor not a rookie , even with his rookie season lost to injury ...

I didn't want Orton and I've always been adamant about not trading away draft picks. However, Gurode and Waters were out there as well as other O-lineman that could have helped, instead we took another cast off from the Cowboys rather than the one lineman that could probably have helped us (Gurode also from the Cowboys since that seems to be a requirement)...if nothing else at least mentor Pouncey in his first season in the NFL.

We spent money on Kevin Burnett and we spent money on Colombo...could have just kept Crowder, who I didn't like but lets face it this defense isn't doing jack to help us win games, and used the money spent on those two to sign Waters and keep Carey at RT. You have to score points in this league and we're not doing it.O-line was an issue since last year and it was even more apparent when we played Atlanta in the first preseason game.

Well he is still considered a rookie just like Blake Griffin who won rookie of the year in the NBA. he did not play in any regular season games due to injury so he is still considered a rookie

Coleman was a disappointment to me.....I don't believe he ever got more than 6 sacks in any season....Vincent was good for us but played better in Philly....for sure I thought Coleman was going to be an all pro but I was wrong on that one.

Ozzy rules!!

well were were talking about playing well as a rookie and being consistent . He averaged like 6 sacks a year and was a good all around player the 4 years he was here. troy Vincent was as good as they come

We hear this stuff every year for decades ... and then here we are deja vu Failing Forward Fast!!

I'm rooting for them though ... gotta have at least a couple decent players with all we've drafted.

Randy Mueller?? SS Dolphin is steaming on the same course!!! aaaaiiiieeee!!!

So what has changed from preseason to now that the coaching staff was so worried about D-Train? He is rocking in the games running with power and hitting the defense I love watching him burst through the line.
