BESIDES the clumsy playcalling at the end I think we are finding our identity on offense which is that we are a ground & pound team.

As you all seen ronnie, ricky & co beat down on the colts with over 200 yards rushing...... I think it's safe to say that THAT IS OUR GAME.

Many fans have always agreed that we under utilized our running backs, well it seems that Henning is finally on to something in that department.... lets just hope he sticks with it.

I said this in another thread, it felt like i was watching the old Giants teams with BP as coach ... it was fun watching them stuff the ball down the Colts throats ... i like the direction of this running game... it looked dominant tonight

Hard to say if it will be that effective if/when a real defense that knows how to stop the wildcat plays ( like baltimore )---running game out of conventional formations didn't really do that much, not dominant. The wildcat was dominant however.

I remember the Csonka/Kiick/Morris days, that was awesome ball control. One super bowl Griese passed for only 8 times.

It really felt amazing watching Peyton sitting on the sideline for that long and seeing Dwight Freeny's face covered with an oxygen mask because he was so gassed. I hope it continues

Only time will tell but I will say that no matter what D we're up against it, with 2 of the most elite backs in the backfield pounding the rock constantly it WILL:

1. Wear out the opponents D
AND/OR
2. Open up the passing game plain & simple.

We are very privileged to have not 1 but a FEW good (if not great) rushers on offense and looking hindsight to our game last week against atlanta I really think Henning was simply testing the waters with the reserved running plays but overall I believe now that if he had any doubts about it before he should've be reassured last night that Running is OUR GAME.

We go as far as our D and our Run game will take us - Penny cannot will not steal games with that din & dunk stuff
