You can take last seasons 100+ tackles into consideration, but you also have to take poor coverage skills into consideration as well.

1 - Cut...why are you here?

2 - An invite to camp is all I can promise.

3 - Welcome to the team...don't blow your lane assignments on ST.

4 - This guy is part of a rotation.

5 - Legit starter.

I have him solidly at "4" because I think good teams with good OCs will take advantage of his below average/average coverage skills and either put him in situations where he has to cover and get burned, or where we think they will pick on him so we overcompensate and the opponent runs a play where an assignment was supposed to be. Line up the TE on the side he lined up...pull a back out into the flat, maybe turn it into a wheel route?

Basically, I'm not sold on Kiko being a starter (3 downs) at this moment, which is why Reddick has a lot of appeal right now...and low key Tyus Bowser.

With our LB situation your scale doesn't work
Ideally you would be able to do that. Now it's more like...

1. Can you fog a mirror?
2. ......

Why on earth did you not just write his name?

This is an odd thread as well. Everyone knows that Kiko will be a starter. They didn't offer him a first round tender as a joke

Didn't feel like it...I thought a fan/follower would know would #47 was, much in the same way I know who RT17 is.

This is where you show a little sophistication and YOU rank him. It may be "In Gase we Trust," but you should also be capable of independent thought.

So you wanted the team to find three starting linebackers in a single offseason, in addition to a ****load of other holes?

No, I want you to simply rank Kiko's performance. As far as finding 3 starting LB's...if that was the focus, and it should have been, it could have been done. The Colts signed Mingo, Sheard, Simon, and Spence after they identified a need.

If you wanted this as a number showing, you should have set it up as a poll. And, as others mentioned, you should have said his name, Kiko Alonso.

My opinion is that he is a 4. He is a very good LB. But, in today's NFL, it's very hard to find complete LB's or TE's. That's just how it is. Those two positions are required to do so many different things, which is why the positions are being sub-divided these days into single-function groups, like Will, Mike, Sam or other terms like pass rusher, thumper, coverage guys. It's the same with TE's who are classified as H-back, move, in-line or simply referred to as seam, receiving, blocking guys. The LB and TE positions are very hard to find, and not all of their functions are equally important.

Lots of people like Reddick, and most have him as the top 1 or 2 LB's in the draft. But, that doesn't mean the guys we have need to be better than the top guy at their position in the entire draft does it? They can't all be Luke Keuchley can they?

IMHO, this is an extremely deep draft, and that goes for LB's and TE's. IF we want one of those guys, we can get him. Reddick isn't the only good LB out there, and I think that TJ Watt (a 34, pass rushing guy that would be a hybrid Sam/DE in our system) is one of the top edge rush prospects in this class. He can also cover TE's very well. But, he would struggle with little quick guys like Edelman in the slot. Because honestly, its nearly impossible to get everything at LB these days in one package.

not every fan knows every jersey number off by heart. In future please make thread titles as clear as possible.

there is no sophistication in choosing from a list that only had 1 possible answer.

You know perfectly well that none of:

1 - Cut...why are you here?

2 - An invite to camp is all I can promise.

3 - Welcome to the team...don't blow your lane assignments on ST.

4 - This guy is part of a rotation.

Are remotely realistic.

...I do find it interesting {puzzling?)....that most posters on this board KNOW our weaknesses and KNOW our needs (not being condescending or sarcastic) and yet we hear no real news of the organizations direction or interest in these area...In Gase we trust?...or ...Are they satisfied with what we have?...Are they targeting other free agents that we know nothing about?...when teams like the above mentioned Colts see a need and go after fixing it and we stand pat it does make me wonder what's REALLY going on...

Most of us think we should have made a push for a top free agent guard....were we saving money needed to sign Poe?....and it didn't work so ....Now what?

You wanted to pay 10m per year for a guard?

I wanted to sign a guard but the top ones became unrealistic very quickly

there is no sophistication in choosing from a list that only had 1 possible answer. If you want this thread to continue to exist I would highly advise not telling a moderator to "bug off" in the future.

uk going in lol

But yeah honestly the only possible choice is 5. I wanted to be sarcastic and reply with "47" seeing as how we're doing numerical rankings and that's how it was worded

Guys remember you can attack the post but not the poster. Carry on.
