on a scale from 1-10 how mad will you be if culpepper is not ready for the season opener

I really won't be mad if he's not ready by the start of the season, I really don't expect him to be ready. But it will bother me quite a bit if he's not ready after the bye week.

He may not be there for the first few games, but he will play this season. If the poll was: How mad will you be if Culpepper misses the season, well that is a different story. I dont want him rushing back, and if he does not open the season, then Nick had a good reason why.

Its not like it would be a big suprise if he's not ready so I won't be mad. Hopefully we sign a worthy back up soon just incase.

I would be mad at 10 if frerotte was still our starter. believe me saban did not trade a pick for a guy that is going to miss alot of games.

I think upset is a better word to use as I will not be mad at Saban or Pep either way.Saban did what he had to do by gettin' Pep and Pep has to do what he has to do to heal right so you can't get mad. What good will it do us if he comes out against the Steelers still healing and then blows his knee out again? As long as it takes is as long as it takes,Remember,we did not win games last year because we had a steller QB that's for sure.We can win some until he is ready. We certainly will not go winless even if we have J.Harrington at the helm.

We needed to realize if we took pep or Brees, we were taking a chance on them not being ready for the beginnning of the season, but were preparing for the long haul of our franchise and not just the immediate future.

I don't and haven't expected him to be ready by game one. If you read about his injury and what the doctors prognosis was for recovery, Dr.Andrews said that this particular injury, after the surgery, was a "calendar year recovery time". He hasn't said anything different than that except to say a few weeks ago that he was "ahead of schedule"...does that mean that he is 3 months ahead ?? I seriously doubt that...No, we need a backup that can carry the team for 3-6 games...that's the bottom line...IMO and in Dr. Andrews public opinion...

I'd be disappointed, however i'd rather Culpepper miss the opener and play his first game in a friendly home enviroment then play against a vicious Steeler pass rush against an unfriendly road crowd on their Super Bowl ceremony night.

I wouldn't really be mad because i'd know that we've found our qb for the next 6-7 years and i'd be worth the wait.

really wouldnt care...

I'd rather our franchise QB be ready, rather than rushing back and causing further damage.

I wont be mad. I wasn't expecting him to play til October. I clicked 3 on the poll just cause I'm alittle disappointed.

If we hadn't acquired Daunte and Frerrotte was still our starter, YES. I'd be at 10 also. But boy could we use a Frerotte right now!

I wouldn't be too upset even if he sat all year, so long as when he comes back he comes back 100%. Daunte at 100% with Ronnie and Ricky in the backfield (hope Ricky wins his appeal), plus one more, breakaway speed-type WR and another solid backup TE, all of which I'm sure Saban will somehow come up with before camp, would be downright scary.
