i know a lot of u guys are disappointed in very vanilla look defense on Sunday but i think that was done on PURPOSE by the coaching staff...

My point... is that they look at the teams we play twice this year and sorta hold back on the first time we meet them, prolly hitting them with some LOOKS the second game around.... like our divisional foes.

We had a lot more defensive looks against Denver because we were not gonna see them the rest of the year..

Makes sense to me....... What you guys think?

Its a good point to raise but im not so sure about it. If we wanted to hide our scehemes we wouldnt have shown them week 1 vs denver. The Jets couldve easily watched game films to see what we did. Since they can watch the film from the denver game, theres no reason why we would hide the schemes from them for our second matchup.

Possible, but I don't think these guys are willing to take a chance on losing to a division team just so we can have a better chance of surprising them and beating them the second time around.

There's no way in hell our defense played vanilla on purpose.....

We tried everything we could to stop the Jets. Scrapping defensive schemes during the regular season doesn't exiist. You play to win....

PHINZ RULE!!!

Highly unlikely. The point is to win the game every time you play them. A good coach will use whatever he needs to beat them the first time and then change things up so as not to be predictable the next time you play them.
