On Sportscenter : Miami Not to Win a GAME ?????

This is what pisses me off about Wanny. You think all this kind of crap wouldn't fire our guys up? I WISH HE WOULD TAPE ALL OF THIS AND PLAY IT IN THE LOCKER ROOM.

When asked about all the media bashing, he gives his usual mundane "Oh, you know, we don't care about that." or "We only care about our team standpoint, not the media standpoint." blah blah blah.

He has to be the WORST motivator I've ever seen.

I wish Saulsbery would tie a steak around his neck and play in the lions den at Disney World!!!! He said "as much as I'd like to say yes, thats a negative" when the question was posed. Saulsberry has as much credibility as LeRetard when it comes to the Dolphins! Who is to say that the team wont gell, I see it as a 50/50 shot that the team gells and plays well. If the team gells and plays well do you think he will go on ESPN and say I was wrong of course not!! Thats like Mel Kiper pointing out the fact that he was wrong in the draft over 200 times. Its just not going to happen!!

The only guy I ever here on ESPN who seems to support the phins is Theisman. Everybody else lays down the hammer given half the chance. I'm learning to despise the network, I really am, because all Dolphins news is so negative.

Please, Salisbury is by far the biggest idiot ESPN has ever had. He makes Theismann look like Einstein. I think they keep him on the show just because he pisses so many people off with his bad commentary. But yes, we'll have to prove him wrong. The Cincy game won't be easy. This town has been so hungry for a good team, that they'll go crazy on Sunday night. I went to the Chiefs/Bengals game last year and the crowd was going nuts, a lot better than the typical Dolphins crowd.

Not to win 1 game is completely ridiculous, but we will not win more than 4 or 5, especially with the QB situation, o-line and injuries piling up as usual. At least we will get a high draft pick!!!

Hard to even justify the sentiment with a response.

Realistic? If you look at our team and at our schedule, and factor in how we shut down one of the best passing attacks in the game, the new talent injected on offense, how can they make that comment? I think it's realistic to think this team can win 10-12 games. I know the folks outside of Miami will say that's crazy, but they're not looking at the team in detail.

1. Our defense is better than last years. Better. No question. You can say we miss Ogunleye, but I didn't see him lighting it up for Chicago last week and I saw Jay Williams and a handful of others step up and give us a nice rush that many thought would not be there against a VERY GOOD Titans Oline. We didn't have our best run stopper in there and we had a brand new Defensive tackle to replace him (Robinson) who will get better. You'll see those long run allowances corrected. Sam Knight needs to take better angles and he will.

2. On offense, they obviously didn't watch the game (go figure - their job is to comment on the teams and they don't even watch the game). The second half was a completely different game than the first. Feely and Gordon - two permanent starters - played very well. With a week of work in the starting unit, they'll be even better. The Oline looked good. We lost our top two backs in the game, our right tackle and our star FB was out to begin with. You don't think a healthy Konrad and a well versed Feely and Gordon are going to improve our team? Please.

This was like a preseason game. Not all of our permanent starters were in there and we had the QB change. This week should be different, and as soon as Konrad and McIntosh get in there, then you'll see what the offense is really capapble of.

I can't wait for Sunday night on ESPN no less when we show that very network how incredibly football-ignorant they really are.
One of the best passing attacks in the game?? In no way shape or form are the Titans one of the better offenses in the league.

League MVP as quarterback makes the Titans a great offense. Kind of like how your quarterback makes your offense good. Remember what happened when he went down. Silly Jets fan Football talk is for grown-ups.

There passing game was good last year, but it's not that good right now.
They missed Justin McCareins, Tyrone Calico, and Frank Wycheck last Saturday. Those are 3 of McNair's big targets from last year that weren't present. Holding them to 73 yards without those guys is impressive anyway though.

But they really didnt need to pass with the way they were running the ball.

Well I don't think we saw their passing game for real last Sundy anyway. Like many have said if you can run the ball why bother passing?

We are talking about the whole offense, Mcnair doesn't throw the ball to himself, i am comparing their receiving group, hell, you guys have an awesome receiving group, if you had a proven QB you guys would have a great offense, minus the rushing game. Not trying to turn this thing into a Jets vs Phins thread. I was stating another opinion about another team, so why do you automatically bash us when we have an opinion?

I was watching sportscenter this morning (Wed.) and on the "Fact or Fiction" NFL Segement they asked :

"Fact of Fiction, the Miami Dolphins will not win a game this season"

How completely idiotic is this. We are not that bad of a football team, even with all of our losses. Im predicting around a .500 season.

Salsbury and the other guy (someone involved in the war) said that this was fiction, thank goodness. I dont think its a question that we will win 5-8 games.

But the fact that the question was even posed on sportscenter makes me sick.
Pathetic. It shows no respect for our D. PATHETIC ESPN

Even if Salsbury said that it is fiction he's still been busting on the Fins sins Ricky's departure. Also tears into them for the Feeley trade. This coming from a career back-up who was fortunate to get a few starts but now knows everything about football and is rediculously arrogant. Fins should win 10 games this season and anything less would be disappointing. They didn't get crushed by Tenn by any stretch. This team just needs to begin gelling and stay away from the injury bug...

ESPN must be desperate for ratings, every single team will endure some form of setbacks this year, we are no different. Hey espn would you like to put a wadger on that?

Salisbary also said we are horrible (may not be not exact word, but same effect). Leretard does work for ESPN so Im sure they are dumb enough eat from his S%$t filled feed bag. I really think this O gets it together big time for week 5 and I sure hope that these Pr*&ks don't get off the hook too easy. Curious to see if we are right or them. As a matter of fact, I'd love to hear a player or 2 stuff it in their face during a post game interview with them on their own network Sunday after we win.
