I would be fine with if he should sit out (regardless of Philbin's decision to do so or not), but I would more than fine if they start the man. In the short and long run our team, if indeed Tanne outshines the other QBs in the upcoming scrimmages, having Ryan at the helm come September. Why. Because experience on the pro level would count for much in his case.

Now if he does not win the starting job and Moore/Gerrard (as starters) begin to struggle after bye week, then (MAYBE!) I would plug in Tanne...maybe. That's another scenario though.
 
I know that this same type poll/question has been read before (over and over), but maybe your views have changed since.

Also, I wanted to include my own view and see how that compares to yours.

I would rather realign my thinking (of course, duh) than be wrong. Maybe there is something I have missed or needs correction. Let's see.

I would love to see something like this develop; especially if at least 2 of 3 played well as opposed to 2 of them playing terribly and only T'hill playing well. However, judging on only on performance in preseason games/scrimmages can be misleading. The coaches see the whole picture so I would trust their judgment.

I agree (but the question isn't a silly one though), yet look at the poll. Most do not answer the question as directly we do...they leave it up to the coaches. Not a silly question. Interesting answers...I should of just given two option and omitted the "leave it to coaches" selection.

What would think would happen then? My vote was for "he better start...."
 
well if i am wrong about tanne I will simply take a cue from our commander in chief. Then i won't be wrong but my position will have evolved.

yes it is. I miss shula so bad i can't stand it. When shula ran this team we knew the smartest guy in the room was in charge. Wow there's an insane concept let the smartest guy run the show. Since shula i have been on the roller coaster with coach hoping they would pan pout then feeling let down when they didn't. I think I'll take a wait and see approach with philbin. He's saying and doing the right things and it's look like it will be a fun ride.
