This might be a dump question, but when a team is "on the clock" on draft day, what is the time frame they have to choose a player or make a deal?

Its 15 Mins So At 1455 The Dolphins Select Brady Quinn........

Each team get 15 minutes in the first round. The time starts after the team in front makes their move. Second round I believe is 10 minutes, not too sure about the third round and I think all second day rounds are 5 minutes.

Thanks for the update, I know I will be watching on ESPN and logged on to finheaven for all the up to date news...

If there is a trade though the clock resets so the wait could be longer if there are trades before the Dolphins pick

Oh, so after every transaction it gives the new team 15 mintues to get a fair shot... Sounds good, I cant wait, it's like Christmas in April...:)

I was under the impression that the team trading to the pick only got the time remaining on the clock to make it.

I used to be hit and miss on the drafts, but the last 3 years I cant seem to get away from my TV or internet. I am looking for the Fins to make a splash this year, I really think we are going to move up for Quinn... I actually purchased his green college jersey in case we did, i knew I wouldnt have found it later...:cooldude:

Usually when there is a trade the team almost immediately takes the player so it's not different. What pisses me off is when a team has a contract signed at the 1st pick and takes almost all fifteen minutes. It's such a waste of time.

The past couple of years Miami has been so far down in the draft that when Miami has picked they don't get the draft coverage the other teams get. It really makes me mad, I always wondered if it was an ESPN Boomer thing necause he likes the Bills, and lothes the FIns. LOL

But seriously they have stiffed the Fins on TV coverage, two years ago they never even showed who Miami picked. I saw it only by way of the scrawl at the bottom.... Arrgg
