And vice versa--on the field, what does Ricky do better than Ronnie.

Do you mean realistically at this point in their careers or with both of them in their prime?

'Cause realistically, I don't think anyone knows what we're going to get with either of them, with Ronnie coming off the injury and Ricky coming off...well...yeah.

Ronnie might run with a bit more power but Ricky is faster and with better vision.

ronnie runs with much more power, he also is a better blocker and receiver, better inside runner...

ricky has better elusiveness, and is probably a better outside runner...

Well, if you mean the new Ricky (i.e. since 2004), Ronnie does everything better. Back in '05, I would argue Ricky showed better vision, but the Ronnie of last year proved he has matured and really improved in that regard.

Q "What does Ronnie do better than Ricky?"

A: "Say NO!"

:lol::lol::lol:

I have to say... Ricky just has that God given gift. IMO, I personally think he did everything better except for the receiving, in which I would give to Ronnie. Back in 2003, he was a straight up bruiser. He wanted to hit you in the mouth. But at this point in their careers I'm just going to go on the record and say that I'm glad their both on the Fins.

Ronnie can always find the right play to get hurt

Couple of things I disagree with so far.

1) Ricky is NOT faster than Ronnie. Not stopwatch or on the field. Ronnie ran a official 4.43 at the combine, and had another 4.32 unconfirmed. Ricky never ran under a 4.5.

2) Ricky had ONE, ONE, ONE fantastic year for us (don't call me a basher, I loved Ricky, and felt like someone I knew died when he initially retired the first time), that was 2002. In 2003 if my memory serves me, and not entirely his fault, he had a pretty bad year, about 3.6 YPC? The only reason he had 1300 yds was because we gave him the ball so much. I have to agree though, 2002 was a GREAT year, looked like the best back in the league, I still remember the two straight 200+ yard games!

If I had to explain it, I would say Ricky was the more natural-born to be a Running Back type guy, that if he could have gone to the right team, and didn't have the personal problems, and stayed relatively injury free, could have been one of the best to ever play the position, its really a shame.

Ronnie wants it more.

May not be something he does 'better' in most peoples eyes, but it means a lot to me.

OH MY GOD, Ricky Williams was never injured in his life everyone!

You know, he only missed 10 games his first two seasons DUE TO INJURIES compared to Ronnie Brown's 4 games in his first two seasons, oh and when Ricky decided to come back last season, he was done after 6 plays!

Nice reach there. We all know your agenda.

Good post. He did only have ONE good year but everyone still thinks he's the best running back in the NFL. That was 6 years ago everyone. Guess who else was good 6 years ago? Kurt Warner. Want to bring him to the team too? Just pathetic.

I really dont care what a stop watch says your dead wrong with the on the field comment. Everyone, EVERYONE, who has seen both knows Ricky is faster than Ronnie. Ricky never got caught from behind and Ronnie has yet to out run anyone. And for the record i love Ronnie Brown but he doesnt have a second gear anywhere near Ricky's.

As far as the thread goes Ricky is not getting nearly the love for catching the ball out of the backfield he is everybit as good a reciever as Brown. Ronnie is better at this point in his career so age is a big factor. Lets not lie to ourselves there are very few as good if any when Ricky was in his prime but is no longer there. Ronnie is stronger and has more heart and is years younger but on talent alone that is about all Ronnie edges Ricky at.
