after staying relatively healthy through the first 6 weeks of the season, we got hit hard vs the chiefs and lost our 3rd game in a row. despite what many of you might think, our next game against the saints will be very difficult to win. it's their first game back in louisiana so they will play inspired ball and there shoud be a large crowd behind them. also, we have played like *** on the road and until we show otherwise, what reason do we have to think this time around will be any diffrent?

after the saints, we get the falcons and patriots. tell yourself whatever it takes to get you through the day, but we ain't winning either of those. then it's back on the road to cleveland and then out to oakland. by the time buffalo comes to town on december 4th, i hate to say it guys lol but there is nothing this team has shown lately that would provide any reason to think we won't be 2-9 at that point on an 8 game losing streak.

go ahead and drill me for this post and all the "negativity" or whatever. that's not how im looking at it. ive just accepted the fact that we got a little high at the beginning of the season and pulled of a couple nice wins, but now with injuries we all agreed we could not afford, the incohesiveness on offense, and the lack of discipline on both sides of the ball, this team is dangerously close to a complete collapse.

but this is what wanny left us and why we brought saban in. he will turn the ship around, it's just gonna take some time.

i would not care if we are able to see if sage can play in this league so we dont have to deal with this next year again with the QB

yeah man im feelin the same way now. we won early, i got expectations. we're now showing what we probably are and will be for the rest of the season. now i want to see guys like sage and bell (t buck injury) and roth (carter injury) getting time. also, lets see carey get every snap at tackle, sign gibson from the practice squad and find out exactly what we're going to need to address via free agency and the draft.

I watched the Saints today...they got ahead and then the team and Haslett went into the toilet as usual. I was worried about Deuce McAllister, but he is now done for the year, Joe Horn hasn't played, Brooks is inconsistent...we should win this one.

dude i'd love to say the same but horn and stallworth...how are we gonna cover them? we have been raped by teams with 1 solid wr and the saints have 2 guys that can hurt you.

On any given Sunday, I'll also be pleasantly surprised by two or more wins before the Buffalo game but we beat New England last year and we are better and they are worse so keep the faith. Saints are up and down - they lost to Minn didn't they? Atlanta will be tough - hurt somebody

I meant to say:

I'll be surprised if we win two of the next three but --
I'll be even more surprised if we lose all of them.

that is all considering if the team remains static... everything changes from week to week, month to month in the NFL... why expect them to play the same all season? there are peaks and valleys... gameplans change, matchups slide, etc. ...

we get a couple seem routes on suspect Patriot and Falcon secondaries, we're in both of those games... dont' sell us short so hastily...

I'm sensing a collapse too, but I'd attribute it more to the issues we have going on with our own team than who we're facing.

I say we beat the saints, browns and raiders and lose the pats and falcons which will leave us 5-6 before the buffalo game which given this is a rebuilding year is pretty repectable in my book, the saints game however is key because we could suffer a serious crisis if we lose the next 3 and confidence really takes a hit

The way I look at it is that Saban has a plan, otherwise he would not have been asked to take over this franchise. It is easy from a fans prospective to question why we have not ran the ball as much as we could have when Ronnie Brown is obviously extreemly effective, as well as it is easy to question why we did not trade for the Guard from San Diego. I say we let everything run its corse. Myself and my good friend and noob PokerDuck agree that we are in the second year in a four year process of rebuilding this team into a champion. This year, it was easy to be swayed by early wins against quality opponants; I was too. We need to look at the big picture, if we only win six or seven games this year it is a vast improvment over last year but thats not important. A team does not establish an identity over night. Of coarse, it hurts when we lose games, especialy divisional and games like friday night. We still need to go to games, scream, cuss and throw things at our TV's but when we lose lets try not to lose prospective

me too. their are already 100 plus threads on the draft already.

pitiful :(

Regardless of how my previous post may have came off, I feel the same way. We are only a game out of first and until the clock hits 0.00 in week 17, I will not give up hope on this season.
