Hey all,
Sunday was terrible, inexcusable, but its in the past and time to look forward to the Wembley game.
I didn't expect to see a home opener any time soon, but technically this is it.

There's nothing like a bit of pre-International Series drama. Against the Raiders, Philbin refused to name Tannehill starter. The game against the Jets was his final game in charge, and this year we've just got battered by the Jets and about to face Brees.

Do we have many members coming to the game? I'll be there, Block 123 which I think will be the Saints side (not that it really matters at the London games, but I was hoping to be sat with the travelling Dolphins fans).

If anyone is going, and in London on Saturday, there will be an NFL fan rally at Regent Street followed by a Dolphins party at the Hard Rock Cafe in Mayfair, not far from Regent Street. They've promised cheerleaders and alumni - two years ago they had about 10 former players attend including OJ McDuffie, Nat Moore, the Marks Brothers, and Dan Marino was there for a bit (and I missed him).

On the day of the game, there will be a 'tailgate' (it isn't) outside Wembley, but also a pre-game party at the Watkins Folly Bar, a few mins walk from the stadium which includes a charity raffle with some nifty Dolphins items that have been donated. Lots of signed stuff and some merchandise.

And all of that will be followed by a bounce-back win of EPIC proportions by the mighty Fins! FinsUp!

Is there a big Dolphin fan base over their?

Bloody glad that I didn't spent 3 or 4 hundred quid that I can't afford going to this one. I was tempted a couple of weeks ago to say **** it and book last min flights and hotels

Not talking about just the London game, but I think a lot of fans are going to hold on to their cash and see how our team responds. I usually hit the sports bar. This last Sunday I held back. I am glad I did, I know it's not much to some people, but it saved me $40 of discretionary money I don't really have.

I know what you mean.

Tho personally I would go if it was just the ticket. I would need to book return flights, central London hotel, airport parking, transport to/from hotel to airport, subway tickets, food etc. The problem with the UK games is that the fanbase isnt in London, its everywhere, a lot of the people in the crowd will be Yanks and people from all over Europe, it isnt like London is NFL mad, it isnt.

I paid all that extra shite for the Jets loss, that wasn't fun. 300/400 quid is an awful lot of money to me.

Yeah, there's a good amount of Dolphins fans here, certainly one of the bigger supported teams.

There was a point on Sunday that I sorely regretted the expensive tickets, hotel and train ride. I think I'm in for about £450, which is much less than anyone coming from America but still money I could use elsewhere.

Yeah, I was at the Jets-Dolphins game 2 years ago as well and I promised myself that day I won't be going again until I feel confident that the team will at least show up.

Whatever happens, I dont think it can be worse than the Jets game. Getting taunted by the travelling New Yorkers the entire game was unpleasant experience.

It can't be worse, can it?

Damn, you went to the Jets game?

Damn! You went to the Jets game? Man, that must of really sucked! Hmm, maybe we can start a gofundme page and help you get your money back. I'll send it to Cutler and our offensive line. They probably got that kind of money laying around in the bottom of their locker. :) I'm hopeful Tunsil will want to help, if he's not too tired.

Damn! You went to the Jets game? So sorry. That must of really sucked! Hmm, maybe we can start a gofundme page and help you get your money back. I'll send it to Cutler and our offensive line. They probably got that kind of money laying around in the bottom of their locker. :)

I spent the entire 4th q in the club level bar lol the fins didn't even turn up that day. Though it got Philbin fired so it wasn't all bad

LOL! Sorry, I thought you were talking about this Jets game. Still nice though. We still haven't recovered from the Philbin years. Glad that dude is gone!
