Week 6 inactives

  • QB Cardale Jones
  • OL Gabe Ikard
  • OT Seantrel Henderson
  • OC Patrick Lewis
  • OT Cyrus Kouandjio
  • TE Gerald Christian
  • DT Marcell Dareus
Dareus hasn’t seen the field since returning from his suspension. This will make six straight weeks without the former All-Pro. Adolphus Washington and Corbin Bryant will fill in for Dareus.
The offensive line has a lot of injuries, as well. Seantrel Henderson is still working his way back into game shape following his bout with Crohn’s disease a year ago. Cyrus Kouandjio is dealing with a leg injury. Patrick Lewis and Gabe Ikard are healthy scratches, leaving Ryan Groy and Michael Ola as the lone reserve linemen.
Returning to the lineup is cornerback Corey White, who missed last week while in the NFL’s concussion protocol.

Bills have 20 sacks. 10th year player, OLB Lorenzo Alexander (FA from Oak) has 8 sacks. He had 3 vs LA.

They have 6 interceptions and have recovered 6 fumbles out of 10 forced.

Tyrod Taylor has a QB rating of 92.4 (8 Td, 2 int)

Shady McCoy has 6 rushing TD's and is averaging 97.8 yards per game.

Without attempting to look it up, how do they rank in interceptions and fumbles recovered? I notice they're 4th in scoring but below average in yardage. They look to be a ground and pound team, and so long as Miami doesn't cough up the ball they should be able move the football. The Bills look beatable. My only issue with them is they always hurt us. They always knock out at least a couple of our key players whether they beat us or not.

The Bills rank 6th in interceptions and 1st in forced fumbles in a 4 way tie

The Bills rang up 300+ yards rushing against the Niners who came in averaging about 140 rushing yards allowed and left New Era Field allowing 170 yards per game. The Fins are 31st in rushing yards allowed, also giving up about 140 yards a game. They scored 4 rushing TDs, 3 by McCoy. The Bills get off to fast starts, and if they take a lead into the fourth quarter, they'll pound the rock to further demoralize the defense. Taylor doesn't throw for many yards because the Bills don't pass a lot, but he's effective when he does even though the Bills are missing Sammy Watkins. Taylor also takes care of the ball, so the opposition doesn't get many short fields.

The Bills defense can stop the run, too, and their pass rush can be disruptive. They didn't blitz Kaepernick too much because he's a mobile QB, but it will be open season on Tannehill. They are a stingy red zone defense, forcing teams to settle for FGs rather than scoring TDs. They are also opportunistic, and Tannehill, who has been victimized by sacks, strip sacks, and INTs by the Bills in the past, is likely to have a long afternoon. This D is a lot better than past Bills defenses.

I'm not worried about the Bills. They always get a lucky streak and then SNAP! The Phins will be that SNAP!

We get it. Your team is completely amazeballs and we haven't got a chance in hell...
:puke:
Thanks for sharing.

I'm a non believer in buffalo but I don't like this running game matchup vs our lb level

they do the exact kind of things that have murdered us in the past...that unit is gonna have to really study up

the de's need to buy in too...this games about containment

Divisional game is always tough, and the Jills are playing very good football, it is going to be a hard game for fins. If we can play at same intensity of last week we have a shot.

I am actually really worried about the Defense wearing out in the weather. That is why I am really hoping that both Shaq Lawson and Dareus are able to play Sunday to help with the rotation.

We absolutely need to stop their running game. Make TT beat you. If that ends up being the case, oh well, but we have to stop the run and run effectively so we can control the TOP and make their D stay on the field longer.

Use the heat as our advantage like we did with the Steelers.

Ironically Miami has allowed 4 rushing TDs and Buffalo has allowed 6. I have no clue what to expect in this game. If trend and what is supposed to happen actually did happen, Pittsburgh should've won by 35 last week.

Taylor has proven in the past he can beat Miami's ass. If they can stop McCoy and force Taylor to beat them again they might have a shot.

3 of them came in a loss against the Jets (worst defensive game of the year).
2 the next week against Cardinals.

Since then though 1 TD in last 3 weeks, Red Zone Defense playing amazing right now

The Bills are a real "throwback" team.

1st in rushing in the NFL
5th in scoring in the NFL

but

22nd in total yards and
31st in passing yards

And we are 31st in stopping the run....

So yes, stopping or slowing down their run is very important. But as important will be us keeping the ball, running the ball and making first downs. It's simple, the longer we have the ball the shorter they do. If our defense has on the field 60 plus times in the 3rd qtr, it is going to get ugly.

We cannot win this game by passing the ball. The Bills are second in sacks in the NFL with 20 (the Broncos have 21) and is tied for 4th in interceptions. Their sacks come from their LBs so we need to run the ball so they cannot just blitz us.
