I know that the O-Line is taking a lot of heat because of how it's performing and most people seem to agree that adding another Pro Bowl receiver isn't the solution for the offense but lets examine a team in a similar situation to see if this is true. The Arizona Cardinals. Their O-Line stinks probably just as bad as ours (just ask Edge). They have a top-tier RB (Ronnie may not be the Edge yet, but he's more than serviceable). A turnover-prone QB in Kurt Warner that could put up huge stats (can you say Daunte Culpepper?). And a pair of WR's (Boldin and Fitzgerald) that are pro bowl caliber. That's where we fall a tad short. We only have one. Chambers. Say all you want about Booker but it's pretty clear that his pro bowl days are over. They struggle and their QB struggles BUT they score a ton of points. That's something our offense isn't doing. Yeah, they lose, but that's because their defense stinks. Ours doesn't...so can Randy be that difference maker (not to mention that we already KNOW what Moss and Culpepper can do together)? Having to cover Randy and Chambers would mean putting less pressure on C-Pep because if you blitz he's got big targets to hit. As it stands he can't do that because a.) Chambers is getting covered and b.) Booker is dropping balls left and right. Can another pro bowl caliber WR make the offense finally click? I think it can. And if our defense just keeps playing like it has there's no reason to think we can't win games if we just score some 24+ points a game. So who's on the trade for Randy bandwaggon with me?

It would probably take parting with Chambers to acquire Randy.

Oakland won't give him away without a suitable replacement

Nothing wrong with Booker, lots wrong with Moss: not a team player, would cost too much under the cap, would cost too valuable a player, skills diminishing since moving to Oakland, poor attitude, only plays when he feels like it. I'll pass.

Randy Moss runs over traffic cops, throws water on refs, walks off the field before games are over, humilates his teammates on the field in the middle of games.

WHO THE HELL WANTS THIS GUY???? HOW CAN ANYONE ROOT OR CHEER FOR THIS MORON!???????

Screw him. Let him rot in Oakland.

I think that Randy can still play ball at a high level, when motivated. The problem will be that unless the O-line gets fixed, our QBs will experience the same problems and Randy will become equally frustrated here as he is in Oakland when he can't get the ball consistently.

But, IMHO, this is all a pipe dream. Al Davis will be perfectly content to let Moss rot in Oakland before he lets him whine his way out of town!

When he puts up 1200+ yards and 13 TD's you would change your tune

He hasnt done anything like that in Oakland (to my knowledge)

NO!!! I don't like Ricky, dont' want him back. I don't care what his numbers are as a player.

Randy McMike doesn't have the huge numbers, yet I find it difficult to root for him since he is a 2-time wife beater. I would love to see him gone.

I don't want these guys around. I can't root for them anymore.

And this WHOLE conversation is taking place because he (Moss) is running his mouth trying to get off a sinking ship. Once again showing his true colors. He should keep his mouth shut, play out the year. Then make this an issue in the offseason, not week 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

... because he's a more talented offensive position player than anything we have going right now.

funny how the Pats can win 3 super bowls with a good QB and a decent surronding cast with no superstars.

They don't have to bring in every head case, joke, or nut-job of a player to be successful.

They don't sell their soul to the devil for a guy with a rap sheet and history that belongs on COURTV or makes his name in the newspaper, just not the sports section!

When is the last time you saw this talent??

...still waiting...

He is a shell of his former self and very selfish. You want Miami to overpay for a WR to come here to enjoy South Beach? Moss isn't young and hungry anymore. He is lazy.

pats got lucky and even with those 3 sb wins they have to be 3 of the weakest sb teams ever 3 3pt wins doesnt show how they shouldnt have even been in sb against the rams patriots lucky which is always better than good

So we haven't seen much of Moss in Oakland...so what? We haven't seen much of Daunte in Miami (or w/o Moss for that matter). Are you ready to write Culpepper off too? Bottom line is that these guys have the talent to make each other. They were a great tandem in Minny and there's no reason they couldn't be a great tandem in Miami. You don't think Brady wants Givens back in NE? And you don't think Givens wants Brady passing to him instead of Kerry Collins/Vince Young? Culpepper and Moss are just one of those tandems that click when they're together and it would a fun sight to see them on the same team again. And just to top it all off, you know who's been throwing to Moss in Oakland? How about Tuiasosopo, Collins, and Walter...ummm...you don't think having Culpepper again would motivate this guy?

You can't be serious

The funny thing is how ur comparing us to the golden standard that is The New England Patriots. Maybe if we had a coach by the name of Belicheck that could be feasible. And don't get me wrong, I have my faith in Saban, but its gonna be a while to see results. Chances are 8 out of 10 times, you aren't going to get their results with the same pawns. But you tell me how we're doing so far. The proof is in the pudding.

And for the record, no one said anything about bringing all the NFL thugs to our team, we're talking about one player. And if you tell me you wouldn't want a T.O. type guy on your team, who delivers on the field regardless, your watching another league.

Oakland is an abomination. They brought back the most Old School personality in Art Shell to try to run a team his way, in a day and age where if you aren't up with the times, you're in dead last. The truth of the matter is they don't give the man the ball enough. If i was the offensive coordinator there, I'd give him touches at LEAST once every drive. By his sheer talent alone, I'd have head coaching offers in no time flat.

Of course you compare yourself to the Pats. THEY ARE THE BEST!! To be the best you gotta beat the best or at least be on par with the best. Not to mention they are in our division so you better judge yourself by them or else you are just spinning your wheels in place!

Hey, 3 super bowls in 4 years ain't bad. They are doing just fine.

And NO I wouldn't want a TO type of guy. Sorry.
