One bright spot...

Well, what a great weekend of sport. I stayed up all night (Australian time zone is a pain) and saw:

1. My favourite soccer team, Queens Park Rangers, lose 6-0 in the Premier League
2. The Dolphins abject performance in San Diego
3. And to make it worse, I am just about to get on a flight to the US with the stated intention of going to the Meadowlands, wearing Fins gear, to watch us fall to 0-5. Too late for a refund or cancellation....

BUT, there was one bright spot. The Jets lost! Sometimes, this is all that matters.....

Why is it that soccer is the most popular sport in the world, yet as Americans, we practically detest the sport? I have tried to watch because billions of people can't be wrong right but for me it's right up there with paint drying and flies ****ing.

That´s because baseball is fast and exciting.

I agree, I would rather watch golf, WNBA or Saturday Night Live over golf.
